Food allergy diaper rash?

Hi,
I'm hoping you ladies can offer some insight, I'll of course also be reaching back out to my pedi for guidance.

We've been battle ing diaper rash for a few weeks, it's got almost 100% better at one point but then bam, one poopy diaper and it's back in full force.

I'm curious if it could have been caused by the scrambled egg my LO had for dinner the night before, about 14 hours earlier?

I'm having a hard time determining if the rash could have been caused by some food, or not. My LO is 11 months old.

So in short, did any if your LOs food allergy present itself with just bad diaper rash from poop hours after being consumed, no immediate responses?

Very much appreciate your insights as I speak with the pedi to follow up.

My Los allergies always show up as a severe diaper rash first then followed by worsening reflux. She almost look like she has a very bad sunburn or she gets dots all over her groin.

Thanks @luvboston‌ , that is sounding similar. Do you know typically how long after exposure to the allergen the diaper rash occurred and how did you identify the allergen, elimination diet?
How did you know it was a food allergy and not just diaper rash?

    Thanks for sharing with me.

10 mins to 10 hours later. We knew it was an allergy because it never went away even with steroids and she also had reflux with it. We eliminated one thing at a time but it was pretty easy to figure out as I have severe allergies. She can't have anything related to a cow, bananas, gluten and large amounts of corn.

My second is 4 now, but if she eats soy or coconut or pecans she gets red/itchy inside her labia and around her rectum, sometimes in addition to a bit of eczema on her arms. So yes it could be food related. Her allergies are very mild so far.

Persistent diaper rash was how I figured out DS was MSPI. Removing the allergens helped the rash.
