Apple Cider Vinegar

I had been taking apple cider vinegar before I was pregnant and was interested in knowing if any of you moms had found it beneficial during prgnancy. I'm reading mixed reviews on whether it's safe or not. I'm only 6 weeks along and haven't seen my midwife to ask her. Wanted to know your thoughts...

I use it in my hair as a rinse. I don't think I could ever stomach drinking it straight. I have never heard of any benefits of ingesting it so I imagine it can't be too helpful.

It is the ONLY thing that has been helping me with my m/s. I am only allowing myself 1 tsp mixed in about 12-16 oz water 3 times a day. But when drinking anything else I absolutely miserable. It doesn't make the nausea go away completely but it definitely helps make it bearable. I sip on it through a straw and usually add more water when halfway done as to make the apple cider last longer. Hope this helps!
  • I used ACV during my first pregnancy (earlier this year). It was the only thing that would even touch my m/s and indigestion. I used about the same amount as @slamar3 said she uses. Occasionally I'd sweeten it a little if I felt like I needed it, or I'd mix it with apple juice, which makes it barely detectable.

  • I love drinking a mixture of braggs acv, Apple juice, water, cinnamon & cayenne every morning. It's a metabolism drink. I haven't stopped drinking it just because I'm pregnant. I didn't think it would be a problem..
  • Wow ladies this is so helpful. Do any of you know if taking the ACV tablets would be fine? 1 tablet is equal to 1.5 teaspoons of ACV. I'm wondering if the liquid form is more beneficial.
  • I have used it (so gross sorry) to help stop diaherra (Pre-pregnancy). I hate the taste but usually mixing it with Apple juice or water and some honey helps. Also have used it on my face for acne!

  • So glad I saw this!!! ACV saved me this summer when I had mono - hot water, lemon, honey, and ACV made my throat and tummy feel soooo much better! I don't know why I didn't think about it for MS. Mixed a tad bit of ACV in a big glass of ice cold water and it helped a great deal! Added some honey halfway through to help the taste. I was able to eat dinner after!!!
  • I have heard it can be used for indigestion, although I haven't tried it. BUT I use it for my face. It is wonderful to dry up my pregnancy induced acne.

I'm trying this too... Too soon to tell if it's working but my face smells like a salad and makes the nausea return all over again!
  • oh, this is great! I've broken out a but and was wondering what would be good to use if it gets worse!! and for all of the other amazing remedies... thanks for bringing it up!
