Post partum bleeding

Sorry if this is TMI but just trying to see if anyone else is experiencing this. I had normal PP bleeding for about 5 weeks which then tapered off. Since then, I have been having random days where I will start bleeding again for a day or two. Nothing horrible but enough where I have to wear a pad. It'll stop for a week or two and then come back again. I'm 9 weeks PP and I just feel like that's a long time to still be bleeding. Everything feels normal and healed (I had a third degree tear) but I can always tell the day I'm going to bleed because it will start to hurt inside where I had the tear (sorry TMI).  Anyone else still have this or is it something I should be concerned about?

    I'm 6.5 weeks and I'm still bleeding. Today is actual heavier and I had small clots. My doc said it should stop by 6 weeks but it hasn't. I had a c-section so I don't know if that makes a difference. Around my scar I've been having more pulling pains too. I would call your Dr. but I think they just estimate how long you will bleed. BF might increase the time too.

    I haven't yet. The first few times it happened I didn't think much of it, but now that it's still happening it's making me concerned. Of course it's the weekend too so I can't call until Monday. But I definitely plan on calling Monday morning to see what they think.

    My midwife told me that my bleeding on and off was due to activity and not of concern because my uterus is nearly back to a typical size. Im not as far out from the birth as you are though and every situation is different so definitely follow up with your care provider to be sure.

    @swise22‌ I would call your dr. As soon as possible. Apparently still bleeding 7 weeks pp is not normal. I called today and have a sonogram scheduled for tomorrow. They wanted me to come in today but by the time I talked to them 3:30 they were booked solid (I left a message at noon).

    I spoke with the on call nurse and they want me to come in first thing tomorrow for a CBC to make sure I'm not anemic. She said since I'm breastfeeding it's possible that the uterine contractions are just expelling some residual tissue but depending on what the blood work looks like they will decide what to do from there.
