My DR put me on pelvic rest after she saw a small pocket of blood on my U/S. She didn't seem worried, says it happens sometimes and to call if I see any spotting or bleeding. She reminded me that I have to get the RH shot since I have O negative blood. They will check on it next appointment as well. Anyone else on pelvic rest? Or have to get the RH shot?
Last pregnancy I was on pelvic rest until, I want to say 28 weeks, for bleeding (from 5 weeks onward) and then for placenta previa (they could have been related). The worst part for me was no exercise. I wanted to move so badly after I was finally over the morning sickness.
I'm also O- so I had Rhogam. I had Rhogam at 16 weeks for bleeding, at 28 weeks when they give it normally, and at 35 weeks (more bleeding), and after delivery.
My DR said exercise was fine just to take it easy when I did work out. She basically told me no sex or heavy lifting until my next appointment. Then they will check and things might change depending on if the blood pocket dissolved or not. Fun times.
I am on it too. No - factor though. Just a history of miscarriage and IF. No sexy time, no lifting, pulling or pushing anything heavier than 20 lbs and absolutely no exercise. I was also advised to stay in bed any time I feel any sort of cramping or pain.
