Disturbing dream ::trigger warning::

more like nightmare.

I woke up from a terrifying dream at 2am last night. I was at a mall and I saw a woman carry her baby, maybe 3-4 months old into the bathroom, she was holding her by her sleeper , in the front like on her chest, with both hands and started shaking her. I went in and grabbed the baby from her, and took off to get help and call police. I was crying and rubbing the baby's back. It was so fucking vivid. I was a mess. I still am a mess.

What the actual fuck brain?!!??? I don't understand what thought process brings on a dream like this. I fucking hate it. I went to bed hoping for 1D dreams and woke up from this.

Does this happen to anyone else? Anyone out there research dream meanings?

  • I often find my self, just after falling asleep, having horrible dreams.  DS is injured or taken, I am hit by a car while walking the dog, somebody breaks into the house......I don't know why and I hate it!

  • Yeah this isn't my first terrifying dream. Sometimes they do involve my own kids which is even worse. After I had my first dream like that when DD was about 6 months old I was messed up for days. I kept feeling like it was real and couldn't shake the feeling.

    I wish there was a pill that kept bad dreams away lol
  • I've had some brutal dreams.
    Apparently being low in B vitimans can contribute to vivid dreams. And lavender also helps.
    We had to look into this when I was PG with DS- my dreams were so bad I didn't want to sleep.
  • I know it's common to have vivid dreams in pregnancy and I did then too but I'm not pregnant now. I don't usually have dreams this vivid and they aren't usually disturbing
  • @mcbenny that is really interesting. I can't think of anything...
