So Emmett has always been a pretty independent child. He was usually content to play by himself while I cooked, cleaned, watched tv "> , etc. for small amounts of time.
Well all of a sudden, he needs me to be everywhere with him all the time. His new thing is to grab my hand and drag me wherever he wants me to go. He won't let me cook dinner or put away the laundry. If I don't go with him, he throws himself on the floor and cries inconsolably. He won't even walk 5 feet to get a book now without needing to take me with him.
Any of your LOs do anything similar? Any idea if this is just a phase or not?
Yep. I am like can I please get the heavy pan out of the oven using both my hands?? I promise it will only take mommy 20 seconds then I will pick you up again.

My DS did this too, I would try to include him, if possible. If I were taking clothes out of the dryer I would ask him to help mommy carry a couple things and place on the bed for mommy. He also did this with groceries that weren't heavy or breakable. He'd get a big smile when I'd say good job.
Yes! It has been especially bad the past week. We went to Walmart for Christmas decorations today and she just would not stay in the buggie or anything, she wanted me to hold her the whole time.

Madison arrived on May 19th at 6:35 am (:
Hmmm, well it sounds like it is a common behavior at this age! I guess I just need to appreciate the fact that he wants me so much right now, because one day he won't need me anymore!
Yep, my LO is pretty clingy...I took him on a play date and I had to apolgoize to the other moms, because LO clung to me the whole time instead of playing with their kids! I am hoping it is just a phase.

I guess some are just naturally more clingy. My sons were raised pretty much the same and neither were this clingy.
