    Infant Age: 1 month

Milestones: smiling, staring at things and turning her head to follow things, pushing up onto her forearms during tummy time

Challenges: She is very colicy and seems uncomfortable a lot. Gas drops seem to do nothing for her. Not sure what else to try and I feel bad for her. We are having more trouble getting her to nap and go to sleep at night. BFing doesn't always do it anymore.

Funny/cute stories: My brother and SIL came to visit last weekend. On Sunday, my brother was holding her and she let out a huge poop. He totally freaked out, gave her to my mom, and jumped up to get away from me while I changed her. When I was done, I found him cuddled up with his wife going "The horror." It was pretty over the top and I couldn't help but laugh at him.

QOTW: US people what are your Thanksgiving plans? Canada people tell me what are some staple pieces that should be in every closet?

We are going to my Dad's house. His girlfriend is making dinner and we'll eat with them, her friend from NZ, my mom and her SO, and my Dad's gf's children and grandchildren. DH might go to the UT v TCU game with my dad while Lilly and I hang out with my mom after dinner.

Infant Age: 8 months and one week

Milestones: Not really a milestone but we had our first overnight away from LO last weekend.  It went well, my inlaws spent the night at our house with her while MH and I went to a concert and stayed at a casino/hotel.  I missed her but I wasn't worried about her at all, and she went down just as easily as she always does and STTN as always.

Challenges:  She doesn't love eating solids.  I'm following the "one meal until 9 months, then 2 meals then 3 meals at one year" plan, but some days if we're running around with errands and stuff I don't even give her the one meal of solids (we haven't reduced her formula intake any) so that probably doesn't help.  But she often gets bored after a few bites or just is disinterested in eating it.  I've recently found Plum pouches (vs homemade puree and Beechnut purees) and she seems to like those a lot better, so we'll see how it goes.

Funny/cute stories: Tonight MH was on the floor playing with LO and she made a funny face and it made him laugh.  His laughing made her laugh, so the two of them were just sitting there cracking each other up.  So stinkin' adorable.

QOTW: US people what are your Thanksgiving plans? Canada people tell me what are some staple pieces that should be in every closet? We're going to my MILs for dinner.  My SIL and her family will be there.  My friend gave us a bunch of cute frilly dresses and they finally fit so I'm putting LO in one for Turkey day.  I love dressing her up.

Infant Age: 3.5ish months (I am losing track of the weeks! :) )

Milestones: He's starting to laugh more, which is awesome.

Challenges: He still has a cough from last week's cold, and we had two nights in a row of him being up every two hours. UGH. I sat with him in a steamy bathroom last night, though, and that seemed to help a lot. He was only up once. Phew.

Funny/cute stories: We visited my 98-year-old grandma yesterday and it was so cute to see him sit in her lap and "talk." :)

QOTW: US people what are your Thanksgiving plans? Canada people tell me what are some staple pieces that should be in every closet?

We are having a very quiet day tomorrow - just me, DH, DS and my MIL. We'll go to my family's on Sunday.

Challenges: Continuing to hate tummy time. I have two theories both could be bogus (but they are all that I can think of) 1- he has such acid and tummy issues that possibly being on his tummy isn't comfortable. 2 - he has a HUGE head (49th percentile for height, 48th percentile for weight, 99th percentile for head) and maybe its too heavy/uncomfortable. he has good neck strength when sitting up, just not on his tummy.

DS has both of those same issues, and I think you're right about those being the reasons tummy time is such a drag.
