IUI: First Try

Hi girls.

 

I hope everyone had a nice restful weekend. After our 3rd failed medicated cycle, my RE is going to do IUI this coming ovulation. I go in today for my clomid check/Ultrasound and will go back next week for a mid-cycle to monitor ovulation. They will then plan the date/time of the IUI.

IUI is very new to me but I think I understand the process b/c the RE gave me some great info packets. For those of you who live in GA and are at RBA, I was curious what the cost of the IUI is (total cost) since we do not have infertility coverage in GA.

    Good luck to you. I don't like in GA; I live in the midwest. But the packet my RE gave me estimated the cost of IUI with oral medication to be about $700 per cycle. With injects it goes up to about $1500. Again, that's just for my area and my clinic. YMMV.

    THanks girls. I am fortunate to get my medication for free through a pharmacy in Florida but I appreciate the advice to get the cost up front. I will ask today!
