My get up and go

Got up and left. Like every day for almost two weeks I find myself on the couch for like five hours every morning. It's so ridiculous, but I am so exhausted. My son wakes up at 5 15 every single day and I just can't do it! I am miserable in this rut but I can't seem to find my way out! Anybody have any super awesome magic tricks???

Re: My get up and go

  • Yeah if DS wakes up too early I pull him in my bed to snuggle, and he watches mickey while I sleep a little more. Other than that though I force myself to get up and move for him. I go run so he can get out in the stroller, or go the gym so he can go to the childcare and play with other kids. I think I'm better off this time around since he makes me get off my ass.

  • He definitely will not go back to sleep. He will be 3 next month and he's a little stinker in the mornings. If he doesn't get enough attention he sees how much he can trash the house. It's killing me because my 15 month old is sleeping until 7 and I just wish the 3 year old could be trusted! Blech. I like the shower idea. Maybe I can set out a snack and activity for my 3 year old before I go to bed and jump in the shower while he does that.
  • I have to get up for work so I don't really have a choice, but....H leaves a few minutes before I get up and he has started turning on the shower for me before he goes. It's motivating to get up because I know the water will be warm and even if I want to stay in bed I'd have to get up to turn the water off.
Haha I've been so tired that I can definitely see myself saying EFF IT and going back to sleep while the water runs!
  • I understand. I have a 16 month old that doesn't stop going all day. She wakes up anywhere from 4 to 5:30 am, and she is ready to go pretty quickly after getting up. I wish I could just lay around all day.
