Evidently alot has changed

Last week I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I want to concerned because I had it with my daughter. Well evidently in the last 11 years alot has changed. My OB has me seeing a perinatologist, sounds like I will have weekly ultrasounds to ensure all is well with the baby. If at any time they feel he is safer on the outside then inside they will take him out. I do take comfort in knowing he is being closely monitored. I guess I am just scared because I have also been having shortness of breath and heart palpitations. I did a 24 halter monitor so we will see how that turns out. Just terrified that my heart is going to just give up during delivery which is silly because I have no medical conditions that I am aware of. Thanks for letting me vent. ;)

Re: Evidently alot has changed

  • Good luck!! I know GD is fairly common so much so the kind ladies here started a check in. I would join in on that, and see if this is common or not. Heart palpitations can be common in any pregnancy but check in with your OB and MFM just in case.
