intro and Cipralex/happy lamp question

in Postpartum Depression

I'm pregnant with my third and I have moderate depression. I was taking Cipralex (escitalopram) 10mg up until just over a week ago, when I found out I was pregnant. I came off of it as I do not want to take it during pregnancy before I talk to my doctor, which I'm doing next Thursday at my first pre-natal.

Has anyone taken Cipralex while pregnant? Any issues come up for baby during/after that were perhaps related?

Has anyone tried a "happy lamp" while pregnant instead of meds? If so, what was your experience? I just ordered one from Costso and I hope it works...

    Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome!
    Unfortunately I can't help you with the medication advice.

    Wow! That's awesome. When I was dealing with the worst of my PPD I had a issue with light. I needed curtains open and lights on.y MIL likes to keep her house dark while we watch TV. It really bothered me so I would make MH open curtains and/or turn lights on. Good to know about the lamp.
