Making diaper pail liners out of PUL

Hey, newb question here-- So we use the planet wise diaper pail liners in our main diaper pail in our bedroom, and I love the set up. We need a similar set up in the bathroom next to the diaper sprayer. I bought a little tiny (like 12" high) plastic garbage can to hold the rinsed diapers until wash day. I want to make some pail liners out of PUL, similar to the planet wise liners, but tiny. My question is-- when I sew the PUL together, won't there be tiny holes in it, allowing water to escape? Does anyone have any experience sewing with PUL?

Re: Making diaper pail liners out of PUL

  • I have made a few pail liners to fit my small trash cans in bathrooms and diaper covers. Make sure to use polyester thread and put them through the dryer on high after sewing and you should be good to go!

  • Also use ballpoint needles. Make sure your thread is 100 percent polyester. Not just coated. Have fun!

  • French seams also help.
