Nervous

This is not my first rodeo but I'm nervous. Have my first U/S on Monday and I am worried. Worried that with the amount of nausea/throwing up I did that there is more than one baby. I'm nervous they won't hear the baby's heartbeat or that something may be wrong with the baby. I'm worried that my DR will lecture me about not taking my folic acid enough (was making me more nauseous). Anyone else feeling this way?

Re: Nervous

  • I read somewhere if prenatal a make you nauseas to take them before bed. I did that the first night I bought them and it was good. Took one yesterday before work at 7am and my whole day sucked! As of today I haven't taken my prenatals yet I'm waiting until bedtime because I'm schedule from 3-11:30pm :/ I just ate a fantastic pickle tho. I've had nausea since breakfast but that pickle was freaking good. I stocked up on snacks for work. :) chips, crackers, veggies and a salad. Let's go!

    Also hope you feel better!

  • I don't think the amount of nausea signals the number of babies. I was extremely sick from week 8-26 like if I was vertical I was vomiting. It was rough. I had to use my FMLA at 10 weeks.

I think being nervous is normal, just try and relax. Know that as long as you are doing the best you can that is all you can do. Other things are beyond your control.

OMGosh, a pickle sounds delicious right about now.
  • @andreastewart23 I heard the same thing about prenatals and started taking mine right before bed...GAME CHANGER!! It's saved my life!

Good luck on Monday. Hope it goes well for you! I wonder if switching vitamins would help. I also read some people were taking 2 flint stone vitamins which were easier on their stomach, but have zero clue on the actual merit of that. Maybe ask your dr if that could be an option?

  • I know how had it is to wait.  I nearly drove myself crazy waiting for that first u/s.  Being nervous is normal. But, is's just one more day, then you'll know! I agree with the tip about taking prenatals at night, after dinner.

    Good luck on Monday.

  • Thank you ladies, just felt good to share my nervous feelings with someone. I am trying the parental a pre-bedtime tonight, hoping that will be better for me.

  • Make sure you eat something before you take your prenatal vitamin too. If it's on an empty stomach it'll upset your stomachs for sure!
  • I love the gummy prenatals. I eat them at night.

As for nerves... Mine are getting out of control right now. GL on Monday.
