Anyone need a Spam Reset? Its approaching 9pm on the East Coast, aka bedtime.....but I siphoned off some of DH's Southern Tier Chokolat beer and a hostess cupcake so I'm feeling fiiiiine! Sorted out more hand me down baby clothes by size, washed some fabric to sew a few nursing covers for friends and about to bust open my book! (Wow that sounds lame all typed out like.)

  • I'm so done with the bucket of corn my lovely husband brought home for DS to play tractors in. It's all over my house and driving me crazy.

The only think that keeps me from throwing it out is that it keeps DS entertained by himself for hours.

  • DH's mother brought back popcorn from Chicago for us. I was so excited to get it. She dropped it off and it was this tiny little bag for us to share!! I seriously could eat the whole bag in one sitting. Haha I had to stop eating it so that DH could have some!! I just love popcorn!
  • Waiting for my h to get home! First date night in forever! Just heard the garage

  • Have we had a Potato siting? Is she okay

  • Spent over 3 hrs at kaiser today, fully tortured. Did my glucose blood test, got my TDAP and rhogam shots and had my 28 wk appt. Not a fun day but at least it's over with. I took a nap and I'm relaxing aka doing nothing for the rest of my evening.
  • While staying at my parents house on bedrest... I've decided I really need a Roomba... I scared my mom to death this afternoon... Told her I was vaccumming her floors (she was at an event)... Then I reminded her she had a Roomba... And all I did was hit start :)

My main reason for wanting one... It cleans under the bed!!!!!!
  • Be safe @Ducktale‌! "Friendsgiving" sounds awesome. DH and I did that one year while in Chicago when neither of us were able to travel home for the holiday. It was a bunch of his college friends who had to stick around for the holiday, too. We all pitched in to make the dinner and then enjoyed it and each other's company for the evening.

@lizzybean Ice cream is almost always a good remedy for whatever ails you. Almost picked up a pint of Cookies n Cream but changed my mind and got two boxes of Toaster Strudel.

I'm coming down with whatever my girls got from our Austin trip, that and the dang crazy weather. We have a friend's daughter's one-year birthday party tomorrow, and I'm hoping I feel up for it. I tried catching up on today's normal spam but gave up after the 2nd page. :( Did I miss anything good/juicy?

  • H is at a church thing while I'm home with DD. I think I forgot to eat dinner but I can't remember.

I'm so excited to whip out my pregnancy pillow and take over the whole bed for a few hours tonight.
  • @mandamoochie - I really need to make the drive to Trader Joes, I will literally drive to Bel Air for Wegmans but have yet to make the hike your way for Trader Joes!

My motivation for homework this week has been...lackluster to say the least.  I have a big project and a paper due on Sunday for my Families in Crisis class.  I have just barely started the paper and not even begun to think about the project.  Tomorrow I'm going to send Adeline out on a daddy date so I can sit down with a huge mug of coffee and get to work!

  • I didn't go to my glucose tolerance test this week, because late the night before I found out I was dropped from my previous insurance plan due to moving to a state out of the range of my plan. I was defaulted to a new one but I have no clue if my providers are I'm network, if I have to meet my deductible again, etc. Pain in my ass.

  • Just turn on my little pony & refuse to change the channel until he lets you hide all of his depressing DVDs. @lizzybean‌

    Feel better @ckimberley14‌ !
  • I'm happy, but a little disappointed.

I've told you guys that DBF's brother is moving out of our house (and taking his sweet time getting all of his stuff out) and there is still a lot of stuff left in our house from when DBF's parent's lived there. K & I are anxious for them to come get it just so we can nest & get everything in order for June. His mom let us know tonight that we needed to help her get stuff/clean tomorrow morning. I'm thrilled that cleaning is in motion, but it's the ONLY day that K & I have off together this week & I just worked nine days in a row. Was really kind of looking forward to just chilling with DBF & watching Sons of Anarchy.
  • @mrdcle my sister is pregnant and I really have mixed feelings about it, so I get it. She never wanted kids, lives a very spontaneous lifestyle, is not in good financial shape, and I don't see her relationship as being very stable. I worry about her. I feel guilty about not being 100% happy for her though. I've decided to make a better effort to be less judgy of the situation and try to get on board and be totally supportive, since my poor attitude will not change anything about the situation.

  • @foxslaw Thanks!! Sorry you're not going to get a well deserved relaxing day with DBF tomorrow. :( But glad the first step toward nesting will be accomplished! Just wish for you that it would happen Sunday instead of Saturday, or another day so you can just kick back together.

Just got back from the Amish restaurant (I mentioned this in the daily spam but we had an early Thanksgiving dinner since big sister can't come out of town with us next week). I am officially stuffed and in a food coma. So good.

That sounds amazing. Please tell me/us what all you ate! I'm so impatient for DH's grandmother's Mac n cheese, double buttery rolls, stuffing with gravy, pecan pie, chocolate symphony pie, and of course pumpkin pie (all made from scratch, of course) next week!

It did! And he finally turned off the depressing TV and we are cuddling into bed now. :)
He reacted really well to our talk last night, thank goodness. I hope we can have a good weekend.

  • Thanks to the pizza roll spam the other day, I may have eaten half a bag for supper tonight. I then followed those up with fresh baked snickerdoodles. Tonight was definitely a win!

Also I'm pretty sure LO has the hiccups. :)

It's because I feed DD dinner and watch her eat rather than actually eat myself. I don't get it either. I love to eat. I don't understand how I forget.
  • Our dishwasher started making an angry noise today, so I did some Googling and several sites suggested cleaning the filter.  Am I the only one who did not realize a dishwasher had a filter?  We've lived in this house for 3 1/2 years and it definitely hasn't been cleaned in that time, but I don't remember my parents ever cleaning a dishwasher filter when I was younger either...

Anyway, so DH took part of the dishwasher apart to get to the filter, which I cleaned.  He is now reassembling it, somewhat unsuccessfully.  We'd planned to watch Hunger Games tonight in anticipation of seeing Mockingjay next week and I'm torn between wanting the dishwasher put back together so dishes from dinner that are sitting in the sink can go in it and wanting to start the movie, since I know I won't last much past 11.

@lizzybean, ice cream always helps! :) Definitely joining you on that train tonight!

  • It's going to be another sleepless night. Spent the past two hours soothing DDs back to sleep, ate my cold Toaster Strudels :( , and now I can't sleep because DH's feet stink. I love him, don't get me wrong, but he has the WORST-smelling feet of anyone I know. I usually make him shower before going to bed (he likes to shower in the morning), but I'm too tired to deal with it when he wakes up the girls with his loud showering. He talks to himself and makes an unbelievable amount of noise when he showers. This is turning into a DH rant. Sorry. Anyway, I'm hoping I get sleepy enough to ignore his nasty feet smell.

Hehe I used to do that--watch DDs eat and kinda forget about myself. Until I got pregnant. Now I always eat when they do, no matter how hungry or not-hungry (yeah right) I am. :)

  • Got back in from coworker's birthday party at a dueling piano bar.  She's 30; I'm not.  I really wanted to stay home in sleepy pants and watch TV, but made myself get up and be social bc I've been down lately.

I had fun here & there, but it's not that great drinking water w/your highly intoxicated coworkers dancing/tripping/singing over you.  They were impressed I went & I danced some.

  • It's one am and heart burn has me up... 5 days if straight heartburn .. Sigh... Wasn't morning sickness enough?
  • Well I got up to pee and can't get back to sleep. My neck hurts no matter how I turn and baby is now thumping away in her own little dance party.

@ducktale that fucking blows about your insurance but have a blast at friendsgiving!

Before I was pregnant, in my first year of teaching, I always forgot to eat lunch. I was just too busy planning and getting stuff ready. It wasn't healthy but the stress got to me and I lost a lot of weight. Now, baby dictates everything so there is no skipping meals. I have a drawer full of food at work now and eat all day.
