Who would it be and why?
(Must be a person who has passed away and they must be generally known like a celebrity or Ghengis Khan. No literary figures but I'll accept Biblical characters and people from other religious texts because I know they're inevitable and I don't want a debate.)

    I think I'd pick Mary. I can't even imagine having to tell people (even if was only Joseph that she told) was pregnant with God's baby. Would be fascinating to hear the stories of his childhood especially.

    I'd love to chill with Zelda Fitzgerald.  Although I'm nowhere near cool enough to hang out with her and she would totally tell me that.

    Oo or maybe Hypatia -  I bet there were so many groundbreaking discoveries that died with her, and I want her to give me a hug and tell me it's okay.  Even though it obviously isn't.

    Martin Luther King Jr. was the first person to come to mind, closely followed by Jesus. Thinking more about it I'd also love to meet Harriet Tubman.

    I have two answers, one female and one male.

    First. Jane Austen, because duh, she's awesome. I would tell her to write twenty more books. And I would tell her to stop wasting time and just get married already instead of pining away after all her fictional male characters. (Although she probably wouldn't have had anything to write about then so maybe I'd keep that advice to myself).

    Second, Leonardo Da Vinci. I feel like he is mostly remembered for his art but he had his hand in so many different things - science, philosophy, the "politics" of the time. I'm pretty sure you'd come away from a conversation with him feeling pretty enlightened.

    Wow...totally ladies!!! I am so obsessed with that particular time of history. However...I would like to have lunch with Hitler or some other crazy ass dictator. If it was a girls night in, I would like to spend it with Marie Antoinette :-)

    This is hard. I'm torn between Martin Luther King Jr & Rosa Parks. My brain has a hard time understanding color segregation, & it's appalling to me that this happened not that long ago. I would love to sit & talk with them & hear their stories. And most importantly thank them for their hard work.

    Jesus. Mainly to find out the REAL story. There are so many interpretations and translations out there. I would love to hear exactly what happened and how He feels about all the things Christians are making such a big deal out of right now.

    In between pregnancies, I've grown to love my "other" baby. The "carb baby", that's taken permanent residence in my belly, thanks to my overzealous love of bread, pasta and pastries. Hence my name. :)

    Woodrow Wilson. He was a great president whose 2nd term ended in disgrace. FDR, as Secretary (or assistant secretary, I can't remember) of the Navy, dissed Woodrow Wilson behind his back yet, when he was President, he ripped off a lot of Wilson's ideas. I'm definitely not into politics but a few of these guys intrigue me.

    For male I would pick Guatma Buddha because I think being around someone with that sort of energy would be the most amazing thing imaginable.

    Female I would pick Harriet Tubman because she was a fricken badass.

    I'd say Jesus but I'm hoping I'll get to talk to him in Heaven ;)

    So I'll choose Johnny Cash, he's a big inspiration to me!
    As some others said though, Jane Austen would be cool to meet too...

    I'd love to speak with Marie Antoinette and see what she was really like IRL. She's been portrayed as such an idiot adolescent but I've heard different stories. One of which was that the infamous "let them eat cake" line was made-up propaganda by her enemies trying to bring down the monarchy. I think Sacagawea would be fascinating, too-- Can you imagine traveling with Lewis and Clark through the wilderness while pregnant and delivering in a tent in the backwoods? Me either.
