So ladies I'm curious what are some things you make or your family makes every Thanksgiving that is a tradition for you?
I ask this because yesterday at work was our Thanksgiving dinner and the wide range of foods was interesting to see. I loved see how different everyones idea of a normal dish was.
Some for me would be when I was a kid we always had pickled eggs, candied yams, and dressing balls. We never had stuffing because they had dressing balls which I never ate. They where made out of fresh white bread shredded and cut up with onions and celery and mixed with chicken stock then they where put in balls. They where nasty as hell but my family always fought over them.
At DH's family his grandma makes some kind of stuffing with cornbread and giblet gravy. I'd never heard of giblet gravy until I went to their house for thanksgiving.
So what are your foods?

Re: Thanksgiving Dishes
Usually we roast the turkey butterflied on top of the dressing (sausage/mushroom). On the side scalloped potatoes, brussel sprouts with pancetta and pumpkin mocha tart.

Love thanksgiving!
Edit; words.
On my polish side, we always had fresh polish sausage along with the usuals. And an orange cranberry sauce my grandma made. Otherwise we stick with the green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, turkey, cornbread....drool!

Sweet potato casserole (they use the canned yams and marshmallow topping. Gross.)
Cornbread dressing
Corn pudding
Deviled eggs
Coconut cream and cherry cream pies
I do like the turkey (which is roasted or fried, depending on who is hosting) and the sausage dressing my mom makes when it is her year to host.
I think my family just makes gross things for thanksgiving. Lol. Where are the mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy and other carby deliciousness?!?
This year I will be bringing mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits and a Dutch apple pie so at least I know I'll have that.
