1st ultrasound and strong heartbeat :)

We had my first ultrasound this am and lil peanut had a good strong heartbeat :) now the next step is getting to Christmas and I will be 12 weeks, but today eased my nerves tons! I did blood work to test my progesterone levels to see if I need to take Progesterone. .anyone else have to have that? Dr said it's totally normal to need it?

  • Congrats!

Use the search function to find a bunch of threads on those who are talking progesterone. (I'm not, personally) But I do know it's pretty common.

  • Yes! I was on progesterone with my son (who's now almost two) and with this pregnancy (I'm almost 8 weeks). It helps ease my mind as progesterone can help greatly in preventing miscarriage. Congrats on your ultrasound! Just had our first one today and a strong 163bpm! :))

  • Congrats!  I'm on progesterone, too.  Levels were a little low (13.9) so doc put me on suppositories.  I'd write about how fun they are, but I don't want to scare you.  :))
I'll do anything to help the li'l bean stick.

  • I am on it! As same as someone above said, definitely makes making it to 12 weeks that much easier! & also no such thing as too much the first 12 weeks of pregnancy! I think I actually feel better on it!
  • Congrats!
