1. Do you make more or less than your DH? More. Hopefully that will change soon, as DH is about to test for a professional license in his field that will expand his job opportunities/compensation level. 2. Where are you having Thanksgiving dinner? Our house or my mom's, not sure yet. It will be small, though, probably just me, DH, DS, and our respective parents. 3. Give me some questions to ask in the future... I always like to hear about what books people are reading; that could be a repeated question. Also very interested in parenting/household tips and logistics questions (anything from, how do you entertain your toddler indoors in the winter, to DC lunch ideas, to organization/cleaning ideas... but I'm not sure if that kind of stuff falls under the GTKY umbrella). we could also do funny "would you rather?" questions: https://thoughtcatalog.com/christine-stockton/2014/07/50-would-you-rathers-that-will-destroy-you-forever/
1. DH makes about 1/3 more than me, but has been in his career for longer.
2. Um... at the hospital maybe? It's ice chips and popsicles for me this Thanksgiving if this baby doesn't decide to come on her own in the next week.
3. Favorite date night ideas, organization tips, can't live without ____ (fav. make-up, household item, kid's toys etc.) or other topics like that are fun to get ideas for new things to try out. I also like the throwback questions about things you did in college or highschool.

1. Right now DH makes more but in a couple of months I will be making quite a bit more.
2. We are headed to NYC to spend Thanksgiving with my inlaws. My parents are also coming along and my sister, bil and two cousins are taking the train from DC to join us. In other words there will be more of my side of the family at my husband's parents house than their family!
3. how do you keep a 1.5 yr old occupied long enough to cook dinner. ideas/quesitons around keeping your marriage happy and alive, favorite organization tip, must have piece of clothing or shoes, go to weekday dinner or meal

1. I make about 60% of what DH makes, but part of the difference is that he is a manager and I'm an individual contributor.
2. We are going to DH's aunt's house for Thanksgiving; DH's mom's side of the family will be there. (We rotate years between each of our families.) We're going to have Thanksgiving with my parents and sister on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
3. I like a lot of PP's ideas, especially must haves, fave college class, and throwback questions. (Have we done 'location of your first kiss?'). You could also do favorite meal to make, favorite family activity, and how did you pick your LOs name(s)?
My parents and brother are going to my SIL's house and eating with my MIL. 11 people altogether. The first Thanksgiving since my DH's dad died.
Embarrassing show-and-tell as a child? Earliest memory? Proposal? Your most redeeming quality? Favorite shoes? "Addictions"? Favorite TV shows? Favorite birthday celebration? Nicest thing you've ever done for someone else? Music, art, or literature? Best way to relax? The thing you value most about your relationship with your SO? Best quality as an employee/employer that you embody or that you seek? Do you believe in a higher power? Introvert or extrovert? Funniest joke you know.
It's ebbed and flowed over the years. Right now I'd say he makes more with overtime since his industry is really hot right now. But when there is the next down turn, I will make more since my base salary is higher than his. I also have less take home pay since I carry the kids on my insurance and we have decided to invest more heavily in my 401K since it gets better returns.
At my house for the first time ever! I'm excited if you can't tell. My inlaws are coming for a week and my dad, stepmom, stepuncle and stepaunt will join us for lunch.
I like what people are reading, where they want to travel, best tips, nothing too serious
1. Depends on the year. This year, I make more. Likely to be the last year it swings that way because his career earning potential is much higher than mine.
2. Home, just the four of us. DIY remodeling our kitchen right now and I was hoping not to cook but DS is really pumped about it this year so I may have to plan a small scale turkey dinner. DH works the day before and the day after so no time to travel.
3) What you wish you'd done when you were younger (biggest "regret"), is your DH/SO the kind of person you 'saw yourself with' growing up, I like the idea of helpful hint from PP, maybe best relationship advice, etc.
1. I make more. 2. My MIL's house in San Diego. Can't wait for some warmer weather. It has been crazy cold for us - like January temps. 3. holiday traditions? hobbies/interests? helpful organization tips?
1. Do you make more or less than your DH? DH makes 6% more in salary. My bonus is typically 2-3 times his, but mostly in deferred compensation (90% deferred cash/stock, 10% up front cash). He gets cash and deferred stock - 50/50 split. 2. Where are you having Thanksgiving dinner? We are staying home. ILs live 5 hours away, but with Thanksgiving traffic it's more like 10, and the traffic starts on Monday. My family is local, but have decided to go out to eat this year right in the middle of DD2's nap. She is a miserable kid when she doesn't nap. So we're staying home. 3. Give me some questions to ask in the future... How many different locations (cities/States/countries) have you lived? How long have you been out of school, and how many jobs have you had?
2. We are going to my aunt and uncle's house. They live about an hour away. My parents will be there along with my grandma, 3 sets of aunts and uncles, cousins, and my cousins' kids. Super excited!

1. I make much, much less than DH. We both work FT and salaries will probably stay at this kind of split.
2. With DH's dad and stepmom. Looking forward to the weekend as a whole but the actual meal will be at stepmom's sister's place. Not cool. So much tension and least child-friendly house on the planet. We'll be there the minimum possible amount of time before booking it back to his dad's place.
1. Do you make more or less than your DH? more 2. Where are you having Thanksgiving dinner? Canadian - had it at my in-laws 3. Give me some questions to ask in the future... What's your favourite indulgence? Are you a coffee or tea person?
1. I make about 1/3 more - this has changed over the years. DH used to make more, but was laid off, then took a job making way less, and finally climbed his way back up to nearly what I make, and then got laid off again. Dude can't catch a break.
2. SIL is hosting. It's going to be us and about 40 other people. It'll be in the middle of the day and I'll have to follow DD like a hawk to make sure she doesn't eat anything she's allergic to. Dreading it.
1. I make less and always will with the industry he is in 2. headed to my family this year. We switch off every year. Start the day with breakfast at my dad's (my favorite part of the day), then to my aunt's for 2 hours, then to my aunt's on my mom's side for the big dinner. There are normally 40-50 people as I have a large immediate family and it is a ton of fun 3. recipes, ideas for date night
1. I make slightly more, but my job isn't as stable as his. Plus he carries our health insurance.
2. We will be celebrating at at least 3 places. MIL's for breakfast, FIL's around lunch time, then with my mom, brother and his girlfriend around dinner time. Last year we had 5 places. That was less than ideal given that I was 8.5 months pregnant and ended up giving birth less than a week later!
3. Favorite meal, favorite beverage, where do you want to retire, dream vacation, best vacation, favorite tv show, prom themes, wedding songs, wedding colors, 3 things you would spend lottery winnings on, favorite Christmas tradition
1. DH and I actually make the exact same amount, down to the cent. I started working at my current company first, and we later hired DH to work with our nonprofit subsidiary. My boss started him at the same rate as me, and we have received the same raises. Good with me!
2. We are celebrating in Arkansas at a state park. It's a family tradition we've done since I was six year's old. I love it. We do it potluck style, so I'll be bringing buckeyes since we'll be the only Ohio representatives!
3. What are your kids ages and their current favorite weekend activities? Might give some of us ideas on what to try in the future.
1. I make a bit more and carry all of our insurance 2. My house - I'm hosting for the first time :-) 3. Are you active in any other bump groups? If so, which ones?
1. We make about the same base pay; however MH is active duty in the AF and so he also gets a housing allowance, food allowance and special pay for his job. These allowances make his salary much higher than mine.
2. We're doing it at our house, MIL and SIL will come over (from 5 hours away). I have to work on Friday so we weren't able to travel. DH likes to fry a turkey.
3. What career did you imagine yourself doing as a child? What are you currently doing?
1. I make more. 2. At home, just us. My sister is hosting our family & her ILs, but we're too leary of taking our bright, shiny new wee one out anywhere just yet. 3. I don't have any other ideas, but there have been some great ones mentioned!
1- we were making about the same amount till a month ago when he finally got his long waited promotion and raise. now he makes 1/3 more of what I make+ he has family insurance which I don't have so yeeaaaay us!
2-we are not american and dont live in the states so no thanks giving dinner here but I'm sure mom will go buy a turkey and cook it and invite us anyway, if she doesn't I just might!
1. Do you make more or less than your DH? I make more.
2. Where are you having Thanksgiving dinner? Well, I was planning on having it at home but now my brother is visiting my mother up in NJ and I haven't seen him in 8 years so my plans may change.
3. Give me some questions to ask in the future... Love to hear anything about cooking - your signature meal that you cook, cooking gadgets you can't live without. Favorite phone apps - love to hear about what other people are using. And anything pop culture - shows or movies you are watching, fave celebs, etc.
1. I make about 3/4 of what DH makes. I will never catch up - his role is very different and more technical than mine. 2. Inlaws house - they are 80 so we rent out the apt complex community room and every brings something. 3. Favorite parenting blogs that you follow, favorite non-parenting blogs you follow. Favorite holiday traditions
1. Do you make more or less than your DH? I've always made more by around 50%. This year I will probably make about 2x what DH makes. This was my first year as a partner; I expect the gap will widen in the future.
2. Where are you having Thanksgiving dinner? At my in-laws' house this year. We hosted my family the last two years, so I'm kind of looking forward to not having to cook.
3. Give me some questions to ask in the future... No help, sorry!
1. I make a lot more 3-4 times more, depending on bonuses.
2. We always host. I'm the only person in our families who actually cooks.
3. Fav beauty can't live without product, something not work or mom related that you're proud you've done or accomplished, what you would do if you could do anything but your current job

The 4 of us are eating thanksgiving dinner at home. This is my ideal way to celebrate turkey day.
