STM favorite diapers?

Okay second time moms..what is your favorite brand of diaper? I know all babies can be different but which one do you think does the job the best?
Also has anyone ever used the honest company diapers and opinions on that? Also opinions on target brand diapers?
Thanks in advance. I did cloth diapers the first time and am doing disposable this time so just curious.

Re: STM favorite diapers?

  • I LOVE Target diapers. Fry's (Kroger) brand is good, too. Walmart is ok. Huggies was my fave, but I prefer generic for cost. Luvs sucked for my DD.

  • We love Pampers. Used swaddlers through size 2 then switched to cruisers. They now have swaddlers up through larger sizes so I occasionally opt for the larger swaddlers when I purchase. Have tried huggies and Luvs and for some reason noticed a strong urine smell with both so I will not purchase those brands.

  • I've used Pampers Swaddlers for my DD since she was born. LOVE them! Hated Luv's for her, but I've actually heard a lot of boy mom's say they prefer Luv's, so I may revisit them when Little Man is born.

  • I want to try honest co this time but we'll see. Last time I used whatever was on sale, buggies, pampers and luvs. Didn't like luvs personally but couldn't tell a hug difference between huggies and pampers. I have also used Kirkland brand from Costco which were ok
  • I love Honest Co. everything (just about!). The diapers worked best for my daughter- she's tall and had up the back explosions and these were the only ones to keep everything in as they are taller in the back. I also found that they feel a lot better than most of the other diapers. The designs are super cute. You can get them at a Target and Costco now and if you check Zulily they periodically have discounts on them. I did the monthly subscription which I found really convenient.
  • For my son we used pampers in the first 4/5 months, than we switched to huggies just because they fit better in the butt area (with pampers there always seemed to have a gap). Tried Luvs and hated them they were useless.
  • We liked pampers swaddlers and huggies for overnight.

This! I totally forgot that the huggies overnights were life savers.
  • Any thoughts on Costco diapers?
  • Pampers Swaddlers are awesome. I used them until about 9 months when I figured out targets are MUCH cheaper. However, we can only use targets for daytime use. I use huggies overnights for her now (13 mo) since she sleeps about 12 hours and the target brand does not work for that. I was able to make it through the night when we were using Swaddlers though.
  • Pampers all the way. Especially when he was a newborn. Hated Luvs and Target (only brands he ever peed through). I do buy these Huggies (I forget what they are callled). They are kinda like pull ups but more diaper like. Worked well for the phase where he refused to be changed on his back and were easier to put on when he stood up.

  • Thank you all very much for all the opinions and options! Ah it's so many choices! I think we will start with pamper swaddlers when he's super little and see what works for him after that's a little cheaper like target! Thanks again!
  • I'm a pamper mom baby number 3
  • We got a ton of diapers from the baby shower so we used huggies and pampers for the first couple months and they were fine but when we started buying our own we really liked Luvs. To me they work as well or better than huggies and pampers. And they are like $10 cheaper lol and I like how they smell like baby powder lol
  • Pampers Swaddlers and we do the subscribe and save through Amazon. Huggies leaked too many times for DD. But certain brands tend to fit different bottoms better than others. DD has no butt so Pampers must be good for flat bottoms :)
  • I love pampers swaddlers. Can't remember my feelings about cruisers, but I HATE pampers baby dry. Like, really HATE.

  • I love the Target brand. We mostly CD but use disposable for nights and at my ILs house and have never had a problem with them. You can usually get a good deal on them too with the cartwheel app and having a red card, they also usually run sales where you buy so many and get a gift card.

  • Love Pampers Swadlers but when DD was born they only went to size 1 I think. Loved Target brand as well. I am gonna try Honest Company with this baby as I love most of their products. Hated Huggies
  • We used pampers swaddlers until he was about 8 months.

  • I've been using Kmart brand the last few weeks, but they suck, so I plan on switching again.

I used Pampers for the 1st 15 months because my DD would break out with everything else. I also had to use sensitive wipes.

I'm going to try out Target brand and probably buy some later today. I've heard from a lot of moms that their really good.

Baby #2 will start out with Pampers Swaddlers.

  • We started with pampers when he was a newborn and then went to Huggies. Those started leaking so we went to Luvs. We did try the SAMs club kind but they sagged and leaked horribly so we went back to Luvs. No we are potty training so we just need them for nap and overnight.
  • One thing I didn't realize as a FTM was that diapers fit differently for boys and girls, so the diapers that were sworn by my friends with little girls were terrible for me!

Before I went cloth, I loved Pampers Swaddlers until size 2, and then Kirklands. I even went Kirklands when I had to swap out of cloth back to disposable for daycare.

    I had boys. :)
