Trouble TTC

Throat Punch Thursday!

My TP goes to this stupid girl on Pinterest. I was looking for lunch ideas and there was one about making lunch for your husband. She made an ignorant comment about going back to 1952 and I said for housewives, that's normal and even if I weren't a housewife, I would still do it on occasion as a nice gesture. It basically led to her calling me insane, a slave to my husband, and I told her she was a selfish bitch. Good times. But if doing nice things for others makes me their slave, then slap the shackles on because I have a heart for service and I'm not going to stop that because of some spoiled brat.

  • Wow, that is so ridiculous. I know someone kind of like that too, and it's so bizarre because doing something like that for your husband isn't anti-feminist-- it's like you said, service. Like the concept just goes over her head. Just a weird breed of ineffective activist, I guess. I can picture her saying the same thing (which I have pinned "lunches for your husband" before-- must have slipped past her).

My TP is for basically most drivers in SE Michigan-- 2" of snow is slippery, we get it. You don't have to go all stupid every year and forget how to drive in it. Be cautious, go a little slower. 4WD isn't your salvation from losing control of a vehicle, either. It's basically Christmas already, and all the crazies are out and just... driving, ugh.

  • @theholmanherd - I make a lunch for my husband every night before he goes to work (he works midnights). I hate when people make comments about me spoiling him or being subservient. I love him! I want to be nice to him! That simple.

It's too early for me to have someone to TP yet. Probably after work though :)

  • TP to my HCG injection. I injectioned you into my body on Tuesday night. Yesterday I was in so much pain at work every time I bent over or moved my stomach area. I also had a red mark the size of a quarter. This morning I get ready for work and it's still so painful to bend and such. So I had to call off work just so I can lay flat all day.

(Yes I realize it'd be insane to punch an actual shot...but I don't care lol)

  • @theholmanherd that's ridiculous about the person on pinterest.  I make/pack DH's breakfast and lunch (and sometimes dinner if it's the 24 hour shift) whenever he works.  I partially do it because I'm making stuff for myself so why wouldn't I for him too, and partially for financial and nutritional reasons.  If we didn't take food we'd both be buying something which would cost a lot more and likely be unhealthy.  Regardless of the practical reasons, I mostly do it because it's a nice thing to do for someone you love.

@lemonliz I'm so sorry your MIL is so crazy!  I don't know how you and YH deal with it!

@Dsculley1824 so sorry for the reaction and pain you're in!  I hope you feel better soon!

AFM - I TP my belly button (yes, my belly button).  It has apparently decided to get infected (or at least irritated in some way) 2 weeks post surgery.  Possibly grossness TMI alert - yesterday I noticed an awful smell that I realized was coming from my belly button, and q-tips came out with puss looking stuff on them.  Of course I called my RE's office, but they couldn't get me until this afternoon.  I can't tell exactly what's going on in there, and it's not as bad today as yesterday, but it's still uncomfortable and gross!

  • I'd like to TP my mother. We don't have a great relationship, and her blatant favoritism of my sister is really painful sometimes.

I just found out (last minute) that my mom is having an early Thanksgiving celebration with her, my sister and my dad, since my sister will be out of town for thanksgiving. And I got invited as an afterthought by my sister. Needless to say, I will not be attending (and I had plans already anyways).

Parents suck sometimes. (((Hugs))) I feel your pain.

  • @Daydreamsam I was going to TP UPS too, but for not nearly as important of a reason.  I ordered something that according their own tracking site was picked up by UPS on Tuesday.  When I ordered it, it was guaranteed for delivery tomorrow, but there are absolutely no updates to the tracking!  I understand there's been some crazy weather, but this route shouldn't be affected by that.  I'm practically stalking the UPS website hoping for an update, but getting nothing.

  • @lemonliz - Yikes! I can't even begin to imagine dealing with someone like your MIL.

Sorry to all of you dealing with crappy weather and all that entails.

I want to TP the random clumsiness that appeared today as I ran out to my car to grab something really quick. I managed to trip over nothing and fall pretty hard. Now the right side of my body hurts and I tweaked my neck somehow. I'm at school with rehearsals for the next 8 hours, too. I normally don't sit and teach, but I might need to tonight.

  • Oh man @lemonliz‌ I can't even imagine how I would have dealt with that special kind of crazy...

My TP belongs to one of the nurses in my RE's office. I had an appointment already, she comes in as starts asking where DH's frozen, only, samples are, since they're supposed to be there and she can't find them... Long story short, she thought they lost them! Thankfully someone else found it-- no thanks to the nurse who scared the crap out of me!
