  Yep, between that and sweets I could drink slurpees all day. Thank goodness I live somewhere where that is not an available option lol.

  I don't remember this with my other two kids. It had me kind of worried that my iron might be low. I've heard craving ice is a symptom of that, but maybe it's just being pregnant since some of you mommas are experiencing the same thing.

  I only like drinking cold refrigerated water now. I used to be a luke warm to hot water drinker.

  If you have a craving for crunching on ice, let your OB know, as it can be a sign of anemia, believe it or not. Otherwise, general thirstiness is all to help us get our blood volumes up for baby! Yay!

  I ate ice during my entire pregnancy with DD--and I was slightly anemic. Haven't started craving ice with this one yet, but I sort of expect it.

  Yes, I am very thirsty all the time, but even more so in the evenings. I am an avid water drinker, but I feel like it's increased for sure. And it has to be cold, cold, cold!

  I was actually watching I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant this morning and they said craving ice is considered Pica, which as others have said can be caused by anemia or other forms of malnutrition. Good luck.

  My office has an ice machine that makes ice cubes like the hospital does... I find my self getting 3 or 4 LAREGE cups of ice a day!

  I'm so glad I'm not the only one. Ice cold water is the only thing that is keeping my nausea away. I probably fill my 20 oz cup 5 times during the work day.

  I think water helps my nausea but I have been always craving McDonald's milkshakes for some weird reason.

  I am constantly craving ice cold drinks. I will fill a large glass full of ice and add some water then let it sit for 10 mins before I drink it. There is no greater offence in the this house then someone taking a sip of my ice water.

  After supper I need real REAL cold water. The best. Any other time, it makes me cold so I usually drink room temp.

  I literally go through the Sonic drive-thru and ONLY order a large ice water...makes me feel better that they charge me 21 cents for the cup!

  Me!!! And I found out that craving ice is not a good thing.... It could mean you have iron difficency.

  Towards the end of my last pregnancy I ate ice chips all the time. Drove people at work crazy. But there was nothing wrong, I just liked the crunch. I find myself starting this habit already.

  I love Sonic ice!  We don't have one where I live now.

  
  

  The only place I have ever had ice that is as good as Sonic was in the hospital when I was in labor.  Then again, maybe I just remember it that way because I was starving and it was all I was allowed to have.
