Hi ladies. I've been thinking positively & have been in a good place mentally this pregnancy. Tonight my nerves have struck as I count down the hours to my NT scan & Materniti21 test tomorrow.
I'm 34 and will be 35 when the baby is born. I have a healthy 2yo. I had a missed mc back in January that my In-laws are not aware of. It was recently brought to my attention that my MIL lost a baby at two days old (she claims to not know the cause). My husband's cousin has also told me that thalassemia runs on both sides of his family. I was never told this although I asked her several times about family history during my first pregnancy. I was even hospitalized during my first pregnancy due to unexplained heart rate decelerations. Again I was not told of this condition. She does not know I am pregnant nor does she know of my loss this past January. Long story short I am now even more terrified because of the unknown. Not to mention how frustrated I am that this was kept from me. I just don't understand.
I'd appreciate any positive vibes you can send my way ladies.
UPDATE:
So far so good. The scan looked great and I'm measuring at exactly 12 weeks right on the nose. I should have my blood work results within 7-10 days and I'm hoping to get them before the holiday weekend. They're scheduling me for the anatomy scan with MFM at 18 weeks and will also have a fetal echo 2 weeks after that seeing that my husband has a heart murmur & we don't know the cause of his sister's death at 1 day old. Another hurdle jumped a few more to go. Thank you so much for the support ladies!!!
