Am I right to insist that DD ties her jacket?

Try not to criticise me here please but as the title says "am I correct to insist DD(6) ties zip and velcro of her jacket or should I let her learn from natural consequences.

She feels cold more than other kids in her School plus if she does get cold, she whines to me instead of fixing that problem by herself.

She learnt from natural consequences at Guides during a weekend camp so that is reason I insist she is wrapped up from cold, she always reminds me of that incident and now refuses to go on more guides camps due to it.

On the second day of the camping weekend, they went on a small hike but DD left her jacket and jumper in tent just "because her friends did plus to "act hard", anyway, that backfired because she froze on that hike because leader said "let this be a lesson to you" when she said that jacket and jumper were in tent.

    Seriously though OP wtf do we even say to this? Your 6 year old doesn't like a rule... a rule that's very practical and it would behoove her to follow it regardless on if she likes it or not.... Sure, yes, you should enforce it.

    First of all, nothing like in image, I have already said its a Trespass full zip/velcro jacket.

    Next, no, she won't wear pullover jackets or ones with toggles or buttons for that matter.

    I am beginning to wonder why I posted on this forum because I am not liked much! I will admit that I should not have posted this new thread but still, treatment on it is not nice :'(!

    I am from Scotland and park is a 2min walk from house and is safe to walk to from house because we live in a safe area :-). DD and friends go to park quite often.

    Slightly on topic.

    I gave up fighting my four year old one morning and was going to let him get into the 30 degree car shirtless. He didn't want a shirt- fine. Freeze.

    He put in his shirt 2 seconds after crossing the welcome mat outside.

    Not my proudest parenting moment.

    YES. INSIST YOUR CHILD TIE HER COAT IF IT NEEDS TIED.

    I'm honestly baffled at why this is such a perplexing issue.

    Not sure if you are being very kind or sarcastic but if you genuinely mean it then ok :-).

    I will say that mods on here are disgraceful for letting some comments go yet I am 100% certain that I will get told off.

    I still don't see why I should remain on this forum due to shit I get thrown at me!!!
