I have my 20 week U/S next week. So far nothing new, nothing scary so just assuming everything is fine. I still have lousy Morning sickness that just won't quit. Thrown up 2x this morning already. Now trying to decide on lunch.
Nothing new symptom or appointment wise. I have been a basket case with anxiety, though. I guess I'm feeling SO good that my mind automatically assumes something must be wrong. I just don't FEEL pregnant... still too early to feel movement, that weird period of time between scans (so long since the last one that the calming effects of it have worn off, but still a week away from the next one), and no 'obvious' symptoms all make me go to that scary place. I just have to try to keep myself busy and distracted. I know I sound like a broken record, and sorry for being such a downer, I'm just so used to the other shoe dropping! Trying my best to shake it off, I swear
As for guilty pleasures I just finished up on season 6 of Sons of Anarchy so now I can watch the most recent season. Thanks Netflix! I also LOVE shows like Street Eats, Best Thing I Ever Ate, and Diners, Drive In, and Dives (even though I can't stand Guy Fieri). I just love seeing different restaurants and what they do best, I guess!
@grailseeker14 We both had the pregnancy sads. I swear sunday I was in a tail spin of crying. The most rediculous moment I had was when I looked at my kitty all curled up in bed and it made me cry because she was so cute and I needed to go tuck her in. I swear I came close to reading her a bed time story. Her room is the nursery until we finally get everything moved out, then she will have her room re-set up in the basement. She needs a bed on top of a bed and lots of pillows. Or so I seem to think.
DH came up with an idea to help curb some of my more crazy moments, like I had when I was freaking out about "am I going to be able to do my 1/2 marathon in October and finish it because I'm pumping/breast feeding" I was going crazy about the logistics, will I be able to get away for long training runs...and all kinds of things. I had to put off doing my first 1/2 for 2 years because of infertility treatments, so being able to do one next year is a huge deal for me.
So we are going to take a time out each night and read a story to Hayley. I ordered some new books and we will probably hit up the library as well. My MIL and SIL's will be doing my one shower, and I think they will do like they did for DH's younger sister and have books vs cards. I know some people think this violates every miss manners rule, but I'm not asking for it (i have only said the dates I am free and told them what ever works), and I know in our cirlce people think it's great and love doing it. Even if we buy here a library, she will have lots of books. I also love love love reading.
Our OB appt last week went well. Like the previous one I was in and out. granted the OB would like to see me off Ambien around 37 weeks. I may have to arrange for telework for the last 2 weeks since I truely don't sleep at all without it and end up with vicious migraines. Once she is here and I don't have to be up at 4 AM to go to work for a at least 4 months, I can probably (hopefully) find a way to not be on it.
Saturday we went to the reveal party for our friends. It's nice to have a friend close by going through this as well. They are having a boy and one of our other friends made a comment about "well well, I'm looking at the future grandparents here"
Next week is our Anatomy scan.
QOTW: My guilty pleasure is Once Upon a Time and Vampire Diaries. I read the vampire diaries when they first came out when I was younger. I hated the series at first, but have since become addicted. I make DH watch with me.

@CaterinaC - So sorry you're dealing with so much MS! AFM, we had our a/s yesterday, after a few days of incapacitating anxiety, and everything was perfect! We also found out we are having a girl, which I was totally STUNNED by. We're totally thrilled, but it's a mental adjustment for me. I think that may be the last scan we have all pregnancy, so this may be as exciting as it gets. I'm also pretty sure I'm feeling movement now, although it's so subtle that I could easily be wrong. I feel it most lying on my side at bedtime. I would think it's gas, but it's coming from where my uterus is.
I know we had talked some last week about sharing names, so I'll share the one we're thinking of: Jane. Middle name TBD. Sort of named after Austen and Addams, although my DH really likes it for his own reasons. What do you ladies think? I'm not 100% sold.
Also, we talked about embryo donation last week, and I wanted to share a wonderful article about a woman who posts on TB (liz4paws) about her experiences adopting an embryo. https://www.people.com/article/embryo-adoption-liz-krainman It's a lovely story--have your hankies ready!
QOTW: I've been binging on The Gilmore Girls recently. It always makes me want to eat junk food, partly because it irks me how much they eat and they're both super skinny.

@pblge Yay for a girl!!!! Congratulations. Jane is a beautiful name! It's timeless and classic.
I have tried everything OTC. I was hoping pregnancy would make me tired, but like normal, I can be tired around 1-3 PM but once 8 hits, I am wide awake. I just need something that does a quick shut down of my brain.
I bet it's movement you are feeling. It took me a while to be sure it was as well.

I hope everyone is having a great week, everything is going well with me.
What's new with everyone this week? Not much has been happening, we found some bargins this weekend on baby items, so we did buy a few key pieces. I thought we should start, we don't have anything at all. Symptoms to report? URGH!!! my MS is still kicking my butt, i wake up every morning feeling sick, and try everything to keep it at bay throughout that day. Some days i manage, other days i just feel sick all day. Other than that I'm feeling much better than the 1st trimester. I wouldn't say i found the 2nd trimester glow, but maybe a slight tinge.. Scans? No scans this week, last week we has our A/S everything looked great, our little boy was super active, so it took a while to get all his measurements, but once we did, we found out he is measuring 1 week ahead (big boy) Appointments? No app this week, we saw the OB straight after my A/S she was happy with everything. Still dealing with placenta previa, so currently I'm booked in for a c-section. Things could still change. Cute/sweet moment of the week? Seeing my DH so excited this weekend, buying little items for our little boy. While at the checkout buying a baby monitor we found on sale, he tells the checkout lady, "I'm so excited to find this on sale, I've had this monitor on my wish list for months now" I smiled and said "you have a wish list?" my DH replies "of course" SO sweet!!!!!!
Wishing everyone good luck with your scans, appointments ((hugs))
AFM: We had a great time on our cruise last week. I managed pretty well as far as symptoms go... food wasn't really an issue at all. In fact, the one who threw up was my husband who we think had some bad OJ in a mixed drink. I'm having a lot of back pain, which wasn't helped by the bed in our stateroom (I'm spoiled by our Sleep Number bed with adjustable head/feet).
Next appointment is the anatomy scan this Thursday. Hope all is confirmed again from the MaterniT21 test. Then, an appointment with my OB next Tuesday.
A sweet moment from this week is DS on the cruise. He LOVES getting pictures with the Disney characters. What I found particularly interesting was that he had a favorite that we had to visit THREE times... Princess Tiana! So cute. When he met her the first time, he came back to me saying "Mommy, she sooooo petty!" I love him. Pic below... see how happy he is??
QOTW: Dancing with the Stars. I'm addicted. I avoid all media when I'm unable to watch it day of (like last night - so no spoilers!!).
Married September 2005 - TEAM PINK x2 this time around
@pblge - Congrats on find out you're having a girl! I think Jane is a nice classic name. Not too popular, is cute when she's young, and will be timeless and age appropriate when she's an adult.
AFM - I had my A/S on Friday. All is well and she's beautiful and perfect. I almost cried when the Dr. focused in on her little face. That nose! So cute! I learned that I have an anterior placenta as well, which explains why I don't feel much movement. I wish I could feel more. The placenta is also low lying, but the Dr. doesn't seem to concerned right now, and says that 95% of the time it'll move before birth.
She did recommend that we have an ECHO done on the baby's heart in a few weeks, due to increased potential of heart defects with IVF. I didn't know about that. She said everything looks fine with the heart right now, but just as a precaution. We opted to do it for peace of mind, and another chance to see our lil girl in a few weeks. Strangest thing, we didn't get any pictures from the A/S. I'm super bummed about that.
We also have an OB apt on Friday , but I suspect it'll be a quick Doppler and off we go. Does anyone have any experience with the 3D/4D ultrasounds and figured out the best time to get one?
QOTW: My guilty pleasure TV shows are basically any crime show, real (48 Hours, ID Channel) or fictional (CSI, Bones, Blacklist are my current Favs.). Most people are surprised by this, since I deal with it all day but I cant get enough. But if I'm being completely honest, my REAL guilty pleasure show would be the Bachelor, when it's on. That train wreck is just too hard to NOT watch.
I'm happy to see everyone has pretty good updates. AFM, everything is still going very easy! I'm starting to feel her a TON! I can even feel her from the outside. My husband has been disappointed that he misses it every time. A couple of days ago one of my toddlers was sitting on my lap and the baby kicked right where she was. She said she felt it but I'm not sure she even understood what I was talking about . As for names, this little girl is Brynn. Middle name is still up in the air. I had my first centering appointment with my midwife group last week. Are any of you participating in center appointments? If not, its basically where a group of women due in the same month sit down and have their appointments together. We discuss common things going on at that time in your pregnancy. Its basically The Bump in real life. It took 2 hours and we didn't cover anything I didn't already know. I got to hear the baby for 2 seconds and really didn't like the lack of individual care. I'm wondering if I'm the only one that feels this way.
QOTW: Definitely The Walking Dead. I am in LOVE with that show. But I'm behind because we only have Netflix. I'm so anxious for Netflix to get the next season. Before that it was Dexter. I love having Netflix but I hate binge watching TV. Once I get stuck on something I want to finish it and nothing else gets done!
@GrailSeeker14 Glad everything is going smoothly for you; and the Doppler is helping you feel calm! I also have been doing a lot of crying lately! Maybe it's a second tri thing!
@topaz7777 Sorry you still have MS! My guess about the team green is maybe since it took us longer to get pregnant we are more anxious to find out? I know I used to think maybe I'd be team green but after dealing with TTTC I'm like, "tell me now!" Hope everything goes well at your appointment!
@fro88 I'm sorry you're dealing with anxiety lately. It is so hard to know that everything is going alright when you can't see! I need some ute goggles now! I try to distract myself with projects and make sure I tell myself, "okay it's relax time. Make some tea and read/watch tv whatever" I say this out loud! it seems to help though!
@Alicia_R1 Glad your appointment went well! We also read a book each night to the baby! It's the cutest thing to watch my H read a children's book too!
@taahira Glad your appointment went well! Your H sounds so excited!
@yarnymommy Glad you had a fun time on your cruise! Your DS sounds so cute!
@CaterinaC Sorry about the MS! I hope you feel better!
@pblge So happy your AS looked great! Also congrats on your baby girl!
@baby_blessings Congrats on your baby girl! Sophie is very pretty!
@Seachele98 I'm sorry you didn't get any pics from the AS, but I'm glad everything looked good! I hope your echo appointment goes well too, I also hadn't heard about any increased risk. FX everything is fine!
@Lyndsey13 It must be so exiting to feel so much movement! Yay! I do not have centering appointments, but I've heard of them. I don't think I'd want a 2 hour appointment though! Do they have the option for regular appointments too?
Everything is going well for me and baby boy. I feel so much more relaxed after our elective ultrasound last week! I'm shocked at the difference in myself, but happy that I'm able to relax! We are having an "announce the sex" party this weekend! Only parents, siblings, and grandparents are coming and no gifts or anything. We just thought it would be nice to have both sides together and tell them! My MIL has been trying to trick us into slipping up and saying "he" or "she" but that's typical for her! It's only a few more days, she can wait! I said, some people wait until the baby is born!
I feel like maybe I'm feeling movement but then I'm not really sure if it is or if I'm imagining it. I'm hoping it gets stronger and more noticeable soon!
QOTW: I love to watch chopped and my H hates it! I don't even like to cook so I don't know why I like it that much! I think I like to see the weird ingredients they have to use! Also, I love the Real housewives but only the Beverly hills one!

AFM, I'm feeling movement all the time now, and DH felt the baby for the first time this weekend! I got a couple of huge kicks so I grabbed DH's hand and sure enough, baby gave us one more great one. DH was surprised at how strong it was - I can't imagine what it will feel like in another couple months.
Also, we bought a crib! Pottery Barn was having a crib sale and the one we wanted went from $600 to $400, so it was a no-brainer.
Guilty pleasure show is Gilmore Girls, I'm so excited that it's on Netflix now!

Hi everyone. I had an u/s last week at 16 weeks to measure my cervix and we also found out the wee one is a girl!! Very exciting with only boys in the family so far. I feel so bad for you ladies still dealing with morning sickness, that really stinks! I have felt so much better since 2nd trimester began. Our next big appt is the AS in 4 weeks. AS is next Monday and I am so anxious. I just want to know that baby is healthy. We haven't had any of the tests done that most others have so we have no idea what to expect.
I am feeling lots of movement. It is mostly when I lay down. DH got a chance to feel it last weekend too! I was so glad he felt it because I think he thought I was crazy when I said I felt movement.
QOTW: I LOVE Walking Dead. DH and I can't wait to watch every week! @Canuck13 I am excited to see the next season of the Bachelor as well. All of the neighbor girls get together to watch and we have a lot of fun together.
@Seachele98 my OB also mentioned doing the Echo because of potential IVF heart defects. We have out AS on Monday so we are going to decide after that appointment.
20 week anatomy scan is tomorrow. I can't wait! Except that they told me they would be checking my cervical length, which I'm worried could be painful because I've been so sensitive lately. And I was so excited to advance to abdominal ultrasounds, and now I have to go back to disrobing for appointments!
Also have 20 week OB appt on Friday.
QOTW: Guilty pleasure shows are The Bachelor/Bachelorette and 19 Kids and Counting. My husband thinks both are ridiculous (in different ways, obviously), and refuses to watch either one with me.
Can I join the crew?? I'm a little late to the party. I am 17w5d today and expecting a baby girl April 24th. Team Pink! I's so happy to be here. Last year I went through two ruptured ectopics in December and again in March and lost my tubes. DH and I did in vitro this summer and conceived this miracle! So much to go through and I'm only 29! It's a tough road, but the hard stuff falls behind when I think of what a blessing we have. Excited to catch up on the rest of your stories!
@Haley612 I had regular cervical checks with my previous twin pregnancy and had one at my anatomy scan this time. None of them have been painful at all. I think it is much worse when they are trying to look at your ovaries but your cervix is right there. But wait until the end and they check to see if you are dilated...now that hurts!
Hello! First weekly check in for me - (I didn't have to do IVF, but I did use several (unsuccessful) rounds of clomid, progesterone and finally letrezole). We are expecting our first on April 30th! My husband doesn't want to find whether it's boy or girl, but I do! So we are not sure what we are going to do just yet... We have an appointment and ultrasound tomorrow - can't wait to see our little babe!!
I missed check-in yesterday, but I am enjoying keeping up with all of you! Nothing new to report here. I have my AS next Wednesday. I am feeling her move so much these days. Nothing from the outside yet, though. My DH is dying to feel that, so hopefully within the next week.
QOTW- I love ALL Real Housewives on Bravo. I know how silly they are, and that I lose all brain cells while partaking, but I just get sucked in!
GrailSeeker14 Yes my doctor has me on diclegis. Which changes me from throwing up 15 times a day to more like 2 or 4. Still sucks but much easier to live with.
So happy to hear everyone is doing well! Just had my monthly OB apt yesterday and the heartbeat sounds great. I have also been feeling ok enough that I generally forget I'm pregnant for large parts of the day and then one of my boobs gives me a jolt of pain and I remember. I got my first flu shot yesterday and am getting tested for toxoplasmosis since my two neighbors have a love for the feral cat population in our neighborhood (about 8 of them) and they feed them, so of course they basically live at our house, poop in our yard, and drive my dogs nuts. I've been really anxious that I've been exposed during pregnancy since my dogs love to eat their poop. Hopefully it will come out ok. It seems crazy to me how many of this crowd are having girls! I and everyone else I know personally are having boys. It was a jolt and now I have to completely reframe everything in my mind.
My personal guilty show is Once Upon a Time as well. And I agree with the comments above that the whole frozen thing is a little over the top. But it's still good. My husbands new guilty show is the Gilmore Girls, which of course I watched religiously in high school but he was trying to keep it a secret that he was watching it and I love teasing him about it. Have a great week ladies!
@GrailSeeker14, thank you for the comments on the name. We've really debated this time around because my husband didn't initially like it. I chose the name for the exact reasons that you mentioned. I wanted something not extremely uncommon but not weird and something that didn't seem overly girly. I come from a family of very strong women and I wanted her to have a name that would look okay on a resume. My other girls are Kaydence and Sienna. I think it flows good with their names.
Sorry I'm so late to check in this week. I had a rough week this week - tons of stress and extra hours at work and a cold/sinus infection/cough thing that I've had for over a week. I think the drainage worsened my nauseousness, as I got sick several times this week. I'm not working at all next week - Wahoo! I need the break to change my attitude.
I started feeling sad this week that I haven't felt my baby, but a lot of you have. I have my next OB appointment Tuesday, so I'll be glad to see her and see that everything is fine. I did buy a maternity coat and I'm glad I did. It was very cold in the last week, and only a few of my husband's non-heavy coats fit my belly. I was not going to suffer all winter, especially if we have one like last year.
QOTW: We LOVE Revenge! I'm not allowed to watch it live because my husband plays basketball Sunday nights wants to watch it with me. Sometime we have to watch it Monday evening because I can't always stay up and watch it when he gets home with as tired as I am at night
@stranzm I'm sorry you are sad about not feeling movement yet. I didn't feel movement with DD until I was well beyond 20 weeks. I think same babies are movers and others are more chill. I wouldn't worry if I were you. I hope your appointment brings you peace of mind and reassurance.
@stranzm I'm sorry this week has been rough for you and you've been sick! I wouldn't worry about not feeling any movement yet (I know easier said than done). I haven't really felt anything I can definitely say is the baby since I really have nothing to compare it to; I just like to say it is! "> I hope your appointment makes you feel better. I'm looking forward to feeling a really strong kick so I know what it is!

It's a lovely story--have your hankies ready!
QOTW: I've been binging on The Gilmore Girls recently. It always makes me want to eat junk food, partly because it irks me how much they eat and they're both super skinny.
***Losses mentioned.*** TTC #1 since May 2012. Me: 37, OH: 41. Ectopic August 2012 => tubal damage.
@CaterinaC and @topaz7777 ug I hope it goes away soon so you don't spend the whole pregnancy sick!

All WelcomeWishing everyone good luck with your scans, appointments ((hugs))
I hope everyone has a great week!
She said she felt it but I'm not sure she even understood what I was talking about

@pblge and @baby_blessings congrats on your girls. I love the names you have chosen!
@Seachele98 my OB also mentioned doing the Echo because of potential IVF heart defects. We have out AS on Monday so we are going to decide after that appointment.
Also have 20 week OB appt on Friday.
QOTW:
Guilty pleasure shows are The Bachelor/Bachelorette and 19 Kids and Counting. My husband thinks both are ridiculous (in different ways, obviously), and refuses to watch either one with me.

IUI#2 BFP!
Sorry for the AW post.
