3 week growth spurt?

I'm breastfeeding and my son is 3 weeks old today (Wednesday). He has been nursing constantly since Sunday evening. I was reading about a growth spurt at 3 weeks but is it really supposed to last this long? I thought it was supposed to only last for a day or so.

I was so excited to start pumping and storing so we could easily travel for the holidays but now he is sucking me dry!! Any ideas when this will end?

    DD went from over 4 hours a day to just over two but it took about a week or so.

    It just depends on your baby. We had two heavy feeds days, a normal feed day, and then another heavy feed day. For the 6 week growth spurt, ours came early at 5 and we similarly had a break in between heavy feed days.

    Thank you! I'm just wondering if maybe it's something else at this point... Like does he just want to suck on something or is he having tummy trouble? He's been crying his head off today if he isn't attached and he's been eatin for 3 days straight at this point. We haven't had many issues with fussiness until now.
    Maybe tomorrow he'll slow down..

    Mine lasted 4-5 days. I'd get to doing housework and twenty min later he was hungry again! Hang in there!
