Confused!! Implantation?

Hello! Hopefully I am posting this to the correct discussion board. My husband and I have been ttc for a little over a year and a half. I'm starting to get frustrated with the negative pregnancy tests and issues we have been having. I have an app on my phone that I track all my periods and ovulation with. My period was due to come on the 15th this month which I did start bleeding on the 15th but it wasn't normal period bleeding. The flow was light and the color was darker/brown. I stopped bleeding then in the evening on the 16th. It is now the 19th and I haven't bled since. My periods are usually very heavy with a lot of cramping and usually last between 6 and 8 days. I took a pregnancy test on Monday after the bleeding stopped and it was negative. I took another test this morning and it was negative as well. I read a article that said sometimes the urine test won't show pregnancy until 5 days after the implantation bleeding, I also read an article that said there is no such thing as implantation bleeding. I'm just so confused. I am going to try and take another test on Friday and see what happens. Do you think I could be pregnant?

    To OP good luck! I would definitely start seeing an RE.
    Me: +35 DH: +35
    TTC: Since January 2013 
    DX: PCOS. Severe Endometriosis, Unicornuate Uterus w/only left tube and left ovary, Pedunculated fibroid (on the outside of uterus) and Anovulation. All conditions diagnosed 8/13
    TX: Metformin
    DH DX: MFI - low morphology, low motility
    Ultrasound shows both kidneys in spite of UU. 
    HSG showed clear tube on the left side. 
    Lap Surgery performed 1/9/14 to remove fibroid and endo (Stage 3)
    • IUI# 1 June 2014 started 100 mg of Clomid - 7dpiui Progesterone: 13: BFN
    • IUI#2  July 2014 started 100 mg of Clomid - 7dpiui Progesterone: 5.75: BFN
    • Natural Cycle - so shocked to be in 2WW - 7dpo Progesterone: 15.5: BFN
    • Working with new RE starting injectables in late August.
    • IUI #3 August 2014  w/ Menopur: BFN
    • Finally ovulating on my own!!
    Waiting to start IVF hopefully

    If you're asking this question, no you are not posting on the right board. How the hell should we know if you're KU? Oh and it's time to get a referral to an RE, after a year and a half you need to see a specialist. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, no you're not pregnant if you're getting negatives on a HPT and your period is due. Delete the stupid app, if you can count you shouldn't need it. Lastly, don't come back and post here if you are pregnant. Thanks, byeeeee

    These responses have been much tamer than usual! Everyone must be in a great mood. I don't mean that to be rude, @shank2012 , it is just the way it is. We cannot tell you anything more than the HPT tells you, and unfortunately it is telling you that you are not pregnant at this time. Implantation bleeding is a very rare occurrence and even if it does happen, is rather light (like a few drops, not like you're describing).


    If you are temping and charting to confirm ovulation and not just counting to the 14th day of your cycle, great! If not, now would be a good time to start and a good time to consult with an RE about what is going on. Chart in the meantime so you can go into your consult with some information. Fertility Friend has AWESOME tutorials and really teaches you things you will NEVER have learned in health class.

    Me: 28  MH:35

    Married September 2012. TTC since September 2013

    June 2014 - Dx w/ significant PCOS and referred to RE.

    July/August 2014 - Testing complete: Testosterone & AMH very high, FSH slightly high, Vitamin D low, tubes and lining all lovely. DH SA: A+

    Cycle 1 (Nov 2014): 2.5 mg Letrozole/Ovidrel/TI = BFN

    Cycle 2 (Dec 2014): 5 mg Letrozole/Ovidrel/TI - BFN

    Cycle 3 (Jan 2015): 5mg Letrozole/Ovidrel/TI - BFN

    WTF consult scheduled for 1/29
