i cannot seem to focus at work today. i had the most horrendous heartburn last night and it made me completely nauseated and sick all night. everything is giving me heartburn lately. thank god i have my 20 week scan/appt friday because i need to ask doc how i can deal with this better. tums are not working.
I had it so bad, too. My doc prescribed ranitidine (generic zantac) and I took one every day. Thankfully it worked like a charm.
So.. have we discussed the Michael Brown thing on here yet? I'm so sick over the tension that's happening in St. Louis, and other cities. I don't have a strong opinion about the case because I wasn't a witness, obviously, but my heart is breaking over the businesses who are losing everything and the law enforcement who are bracing for the worst. Just think how you would feel if your hubby was a police officer in any part of St. Louis. The "support Michael Brown" protestors have released a "target list" of businesses in St. Louis where protesting will occur and they said "violence is to be expected" which is putting all those businesses on edge. This is so sad for our city.
@mbm1983 I took Rx prilosec (omeprazole) everyday during my pregnancy and I paid the price if I missed a day. It was a saving grace. I still take it because my heartburn didn't leave with the pregnancy.... But I only have to take it every 3 days or so now.
@mbm1983 - Same here with the heartburn! Just started 2 days ago while last time it was in the last month or so of pregnancy. Sucks!
@BabyCarryingVessel - The Brown Grand Jury ruling just needs to come out already. I'm sick of everyone saying "it's today" and then the day passes and it's not today.....then repeat tomorrow. Ugh. Be done! Let's get some healing underway finally. And that list that you mention where they say violence will happen is a fake. It was on a right wing extremist website and was never verified. So sad that all the fake news is mixing in with the real news and it makes everyone's opinions sway one way or another.
Thanks for the info, @chemgirlstl. I was near the airport yesterday and Monday for a training and everyone was so on edge, which was making me edgy! It doesn't help that Nixon declared a state of emergency! Why on earth would someone make up "the list"? Terrible people who are thriving on fear of others.
@BabyCarryingVessel - The State of Emergency is just nuts!! Now concerts are being cancelled (Hunter Hayes) as well as other events just because of the paranoia and fear. People not going to malls or shopping - it's just crazy. And the emails I've been getting from work and schools and such saying what plans they have in place "just in case". I've never experienced anything like this.
@WanderingStars23 - No need to apologize! I'm more a lurker than a poster! I was jfrancois for a while - then had some lovely stalker find me on here so I changed. I participated a bit back in the day but wouldn't have called myself a regular. I'm back now lurking on my new BMB and I like to check in here and see what others are dealing with when it comes to our 2 year olds! Mine is stuck in the sometimes terrible 2's and it's nice to read about others.
Since I know you all are dying to know the end of my family picture drama. I have made a decision to have the pictures at the downtown library. I have then contacted everyone and told them this is where and when and that I hope to see everyone. I couldn't deal anymore with all of them and with only 4 hours of sleep I decided to end it. I mean look how cool the inside is there is also a fun childrens section where I'm hoping to get some cute pictures of Wesley and bonus it is inside instead of outside in the cold!
So happy that is atleast done with and I don't have to worry about it anymore.
Holy freaking christ i am about to tear my hair out. I put A down for a nap at 12. Just like always. At 1:45 i took a still awake toddler out of her bed for lunch. So. Not. Happy.

I took the B6 and unisom combination for MS this time. It helped, but I also needed to take Zofran. The combination of the three enabled me to eat and kept the vomiting to a minimum. I felt it helped more to decrease the vomiting than with the nausea.
Does anyone else's little one hate the.footie. pjs? Wesley loved them until last week and now he screams his headoff when i put them on. Is their an alternative to footies that will still keep him warm, it gets cold at night and he sleeps so well when he is wearing wearing the footies .
@StefanieM522 Emma will not wear footies anymore either. I have some fleece 2 pc pajama sets that were hand me downs and I make sure she wears socks. She is good about staying under her blanket now too.
@chricast I did some unisom and b6. The b6 didn't do much and the unisom definitely helped but knocked me out. And to be honest I was tired anyway but that put me to sleep everytime I took it so I never dared to take it during the day.
