Manly gift idea help

I drew my BIL's name in our family gift exchange. I have no idea what to get him. He is a guy's guy- into tools and building things, but that's about it. He isn't into sports, he doesn't drink, he isn't into technology at all.
We have always given him tools, but he has basically every tool there is at this point- at least in our $50-75 price range.

Any ideas?

Get him a cool Lego set to build. I only say that because I was just looking at Lego's and they have some really neat stuff!

ETA: Does he like jerky or coffee or anything specialty like that you could get him?
  • Loading the player...
  • Maybe a magazine subscription on manly tool or building stuff? I don't even know if there are any out there.
  • @Audrey1787 I would love to get Lego's!
  • Does he like beer, whiskey, or bourbon?  Those are good gifts that don't get wasted.

    He doesn't drink ;)
  • How about a nice Columbia fleece? That could be accomplished on that budget, I think? Try out backcountry (it's a web site that often has really good deals).
  • Grill accessories?? My DH got a really nice grill set (tongs, spatula, scraper, etc) in a case that he loves!

  • Nice shave stuff? My husband likes the Art of Shaving stuff. It's made by Procter and Gamble.

Negatory. He needs beard oil and mustache wax.

  • @biggunsbo‌ I'll have to look that up!
  • I second the magazine subscription, you could also check out if there are some workshops around his place to learn how to build things, that you could give a certificate for a course or something... I know I'd love that

  • Monster truck tickets?

I was going to say leather work gloves, those are always a hit in my family for gift exchanges, but your price range is too high.

Can you find out if he has magazine subscriptions? My H got a subscription to This Old House mag one year and loved it. I agree with checking groupon too.
Handyman magazine is a DH favorite, he had a subscription when overseas and it was a much requested read among the guys when he got it each month.
Old House Journal and Fine Woodworking were favorites with my carpenters. OHJ recently changed their format to absorb their sister publication Old House Interiors, but they still have all the detailed, manly DIY articles too.

I personally think This Old House has sold out and is just one big HD advertizement.

  • What about a boot dryer?
  • What about a really nice new toolbox and some work gloves?
