I'm a very picky eater and I get turned off very easily. Somehow, I always feel like it tastes different or it smells funny. I don't know why. I've always had a hard time with lunches for this reason. I'm the same way with salads being put into Tupperware or having sandwiches. I really don't know why but I've always been like this.
There are some things that I love the next day, but for the most part, I have a difficult time with them.
I am hardcore. My rule used to be, as long as something still looks, smells and tastes fresh, I will eat it. After reading all of these recommendations that you should only eat leftovers within 4 days or something, I have started to implement a rule of tossing stuff after 7 days. I have lit-rally never gotten food poisoning, though, so maybe that's why I'm so heedless of the rules.
@sleepy33 I got food poisoning from a restaurant like 5 years go and even though I love leftovers...after that experience, I am MUCH more careful with chicken. I felt like death was coming for me! :-&

LOL I need some clarification on this. Salad tastes different if it's in tupperware? And what about sandwiches?

it's the smell of the salad after being closed up. I know! It sounds nuts! but every time I try, I just can't do it.
Sandwiches are a whole different crazy. I can't do cold cuts but I love Italian hero sandwiches. I just need to have lots of lettuce, oil and vinegar on it. If I buy them and the cold cut is sitting on the bread all day waiting for me to eat it, I just can't.
Again, I realize this sounds crazy. I fully accept it but I can't help it.
Love leftovers. I'm about to repurpose some leftover cornbread into stuffing. I also like to order too much at a restaurant so I'm set for lunch the next day.

Are we talking about salad, like green salad? Not with dressing on it, just dry salad? Has a smell?
DH is a super picky eater and doesn't like leftovers. I'm cool with it! I try not to waste too much good but I agree with @vargasgurl that it totally depends on my mood!

I think I like leftovers more than I like it the day of. Added bonus that I didn't have to cook that day. And I do the same thing as @muffyvonmuff : order too much at a restaurant so I don't have to make lunch the next day.
Re: Leftovers
I wanna know why! Just curious
leftover cornbread or stuffing is NEVER bad!
yes! I promise!
