*Final update: Bleeding became much heavier and red accompanied by clotting and cramping. At this point I think I've passed everything but will go back in the office for final verdict. Silver linings are that I didn't go as long as I did last time and that we were able to get pregnant on our first try after our first loss. I know that it will get better from here. And I also know that all the women on this board are really fucking fantastic and you all deserve 9 months of boredom as you await your rainbow babes. Much love and light.
*Updated after doc appointment this a.m.: He saw the gestational sac and yolk but no fetal pole yet which isn't exactly on track with where we thought I was. I have to wait it out a week to know for sure. Back pain and my previous MMC isn't making me feel optimistic. Trying to cling to positivity and the mantras that you ladies so bravely share. Also to know that we were able to get pregnant again once, we can definitely do it again if we need to.
*Update: Feeling jinxed... After introducing myself last evening I experienced some very, very light brown spotting while wiping. Although I know it's not necessarily cause for alarm, it reminded me of the first signs I had with my MMC. Of course it happened at night so laying here, counting minutes until I can call the doctor. T&P are definitely welcome. Thanks!
Original post: Which, I'm sure, comes as no surprise to the strong and vibrant women on this board! I'm happy that it exists because I've found that nobody understands what it's like to have a miscarriage unless they've had one. All of the sentiments that people share with good intentions just come off as hollow promises that we will eventually have babies - as if they're replaceable. End rant.
I had a MMC in June after starting to spot around 14w. The D&C showed a chromosomal abnormality and that the baby stopped growing around 8w. We had a hard time nailing down the date of conception because my cycles are irregular so we had already had 2 dating US and were due for another one the week I started spotting. The worst part, aside from miscarrying while I was across the country on a work trip in an emergency room alone, was that I'd gone on nearly 7w thinking everything was okay. That said, I'll be proceeding like a psycho with this pregnancy. I can already feel it starting. Any words of wisdom, T&P are definitely welcome.
We're ~6w today and I go in on the 24th for my first US. So far the symptoms have been a bit stronger than they were my first go-round although I still question EVERYTHING.
Thanks to all you women for being such a supportive and understanding community! We're only telling siblings so that they can help us in hiding around the holidays and, as I'm sure you all know, it's all I can think about.
