I love my steak cooed to the point of a good veterinarian can bring it back. Just wipe its ass and throw it on a plate. When we cook at home, max of 5 minutes a side. At a good steak house they can get a little bit of char on the outside but bleeding on the inside.. that's heaven right there
My mother cooked all meat 'well done' when we were kids loving at home. I hated meat. I rarely ate it because it was disgusting. When I moved out, I was shown that meat could be served less than charred. That's when I discovered medium rare. I've never eaten it anything other than rare or medium rare if I had a choice, including when I was pregnant. If I'd contemplated well done, I'd have eaten something else instead.
Why are medium and medium well the same option? They are not the same.
I had them separate, but in many restaurants I've been to there is only one option between well done and medium rare. The name varies between medium and medium well, so for the sake of people that may have also encountered this, I combined the options. Sorry if its upsetting, or even just annoying. :-??
Edit: that wasn't the smiley I thought it was. Changed.
I take mine medium well, never medium. Haha. I like the edges to be charred and the thinner the ribeye the better!
It's hard to find a steak I like better than my hubby's!! My favorite steak house is The Capital Grille!

There's a local restaurant here that serves your steak on a stone. You pick the size & cut of steak you want & they deliver it to your table raw on a hot rock. Then you cook it yourself. My husband absolutely loves it since he can cook it as rare as he'd like. Another plus is that the last bite is just as piping hot as the first bite.
Medium. Pink on the inside and warm all the way through. That kind of sounds dirty...but seriously, I'm a no blood in the middle person also, and I'd prefer it not be cool in the middle. But man do I love steak. We eat it probably 4 times a month. Typically on payday haha

We are a 5 min max per side family too. DH actually prefers his slightly more cooked than me. I don't mind the odd moo every now and then.

Me? I'd rather not have a steak.
Now I want steak! But there is no way I'm convincing DH to grill out in this weather
Born 2/4/14
Weighing 6 lbs 10 oz and 20 inches long
We have steak 5 or 6 (or 7 or 8) times a month. We also do chicken 2-3 times a week. I'd hate to live without a BBQ now.
I love rare thick cut ribeye.... Drool....
