  Nothing. Let your baby cook! You may have another 3 weeks or you could go into labor tonight. Cervical checks mean nothing. I know pregnancy sucks but if your baby hasn't made an appearance because he's not ready.

  Has your doctor mentioned inducing? Mine mentioned seeing where I was at around 38 weeks before talking about it since I will be vbac and their policy is to lean on the side of caution (not going past full term and depending on circumstances sometime 39 wks) to keep the risk of uterine rupture  (and other risks) low. She said if I was making progress towards dilating and everything looked well with us both we may not have to.
  
  If something like that is why you are asking then that would make sense. It sounds like you are just ready for it to be over though? If there isn't a need to hasten it then do not- if you are on a time limit before induction that would be a conversation to have with your doctor.

  You gotta wait it out. He will make an appearance when he is ready. Not long now.

  I agree with everyone telling you to wait and give your baby as much time as he needs.

  Yep, waiting it out is pretty much the only good option (although there is some decent research that eating dates can help you dilate faster when labor does come around). If it makes you feel better, cervical checks before labor are basically meaningless. I was checked the day before I went into labor and had zero dilation. The next day I had a quick 8 hour labor and a healthy baby girl. Try not to worry about it.

  Wait. Both times my water broke the day after I was told I wasn't even dilated 1/2 cm. meanwhile a friend walked around for over a week at 4 cm dilated. Means nothing.

  Wait. Maybe you will have better luck next week. Baby isn't ready. Let it go naturally for as long as possible. I know the excitement, but it's best just to TRY to be patient

  Please just wait. As someone who had to be induced and baby came early, trust me. I would have given anything to have him cook just a little longer.
