Should I click induction or SS? Mine was a scheduled c-section.

I have no idea! Lol I was trying to cover my basis.. I am not sure I've ever had a BH contraction so I'm hoping that a BAM I'm in labor answer has a high selection rate.

  • Woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Kept getting repeat cramps after going back to bed. Since I was still 1.5 weeks from EDD, it took me about an hour to realize what was going on and start timing them.

  • I woke up in the middle of the night to pee, as usual. Only when I laid back down, I still had all kinds of pressure down there like I still had to pee. I couldn't go anymore, but the pressure wouldn't go away. I went and laid down in our spare room so I wouldn't wake DH and soon after my contractions started, followed by by losing my mucus plug. Contractions were 7 - 9 minutes for a couple of hours and then suddenly went to 3 minutes apart. LO was born about 2.5 hours later. The whole thing was about 6 hours, start to finish.
  • This snowflake had a scheduled CS. I didn't even have a hint of labor. I kept waiting for BHs or losing my mucus plug, but I guess I'm just not one of the cool kids.

  • had contractions on and off for weeks!  I woke up around midnight when my H got home from work with really painful contractions which continued for 22 hrs without getting any closer together.  Went to L&D and they gave me Petocin to speed things up.
  • I had back labor (For my second round of pre-term labor- first time was regular belly contractions) I was on bed rest for about a month at the time and thought my back was bothering me from lying down. Turns out it wasn't just a backache as it started getting more intense intervals. I had a CS because they thought they stopped the labor but they hadn't and couldn't see how my labor was progressing- kept telling them my back still hurt but they kept insisting I wasn't contacting, by morning I was 100% effaced which was a surprise to everyone (>_<)
  • I said sporadic painful contractions because my contractions never developed a real pattern. I would go from 5 minutes apart to 12 minutes apart and then 8 minutes apart. They kept up like that all 37 hours of my labour. It made it really tough to know when to go to the hospital!
  • I chose induction but my midwife called it more of "augmentation" cause she just had to break my water and my body did the rest.
  • I just felt off/ not normal. I was uncomfortable in my skin and eventually felt some abdominal pressure. I'd been having contractions, but that was nothing new. It was hard to time them, though, because the top of my uterus never fully relaxed so I couldn't really tell when one began or ended.
We headed to L&D "just in case" and had a baby within 30 minutes of being admitted... with an emergency trip to the OR after I found myself standing in a puddle of blood while I was changing into a gown for an exam (my placenta began detaching).
Not a typical labor by any stretch!
  • Pelvic pain from PTL.
    ~X(
  • I felt "off" and had bad upper abdominal pain. Blood work at L&D showed beginning stages of Pre-E, so I was admitted & had a csect (breech baby).

    BFP#4 3/17/14 - rainbow Baby BOY arrived 11/10/14 !!

  • Low, PMS-style back pain and what I thought were gas pains. They were sporadic so I didn't think it was labour but when they kept coming and getting closer we went In to the hospital.

I woke up with terrible diarrhea (sorry- a bit graphic) and then my water broke (Although I wasn't sure it was my water that broke). Five minutes later I had terrible stomach and back pain. Never felt a contraction - just sour stomach and awful back aches. I thought I had food poisoning and called triage nurse 30 minutes after waking up in pain. She told me it sounded like labor so I went to the hospital and back contractions were two minutes apart! I truly had no idea it was labor...
