First ultrasound tomorrow! **Updated**

Tomorrow I will be 5w5d and am going in for my u/s. I'm super anxious! My last BFP, I had the first u/s also at 5w5d and had just seen the gestational sac. They didn't seem concerned and scheduled the second for the following week. Unfortunately though, 5 days later my hcg dropped slightly and and the u/s at 6w5d had shown just that same sac with no change. What should I expect to see?

Please wish us luck!!

UPDATE: The u/s showed a yolk sac and fetal pole! Really excited! Our next u/s is my birthday, Dec 1st! Thanks again for your well wishes!

    Sending you tons of positive vibes. I'm curious as to why tu would t wait until you were more than 6 weeks when the heart would start to beat? If you don't see a heart beat don't freak out. It seems that they're monitoring you closely and that's a great feeling to know that they're keeping a close eye. Wishing you the best of luck!!

    I think it's just the way my RE does things. They do u/s once the hcg gets above 2000.

    Sending lots of T&Ps for a great first u/s tomorrow. I believe a heartbeat is hit or miss at that point so don't be worried if you don't see one yet.

    Good luck!! The only thing that you should for sure see if dates are correct is a gestational sac. You can probably see a fetal pole and yolk sac and if you are really lucky you can see a heartbeat (big maybe- don't be upset if you don't see that yet).

    Ahh Stephie! I just remembered that you are seeing my old RE (the ultrasound after 2000 reminded me, well that & your trillion betas lol) I hope tomorrow you see a sec, yolk sac & fetal pole. I'm going to be extra hopeful & fx for you to see an early HB tomorrow too. 

    I miss the awesome people at that office sooo much! Good luck tomorrow!

       Me: IR-PCOS, elevated DHEAs, low progesterone, weak ovulation  DH: low volume, low T
    SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.
    BFP#1 7/20/13 EDD 3/30/14, m/c 8/19/13, D&E 8/21/13, Chromosomal results = normal, female
    Lap & hysteroscopy scheduled for 10/31, right tube cleared, no endo found! ...Happy Halloween!
    Cycle 14: Clomid (50)+ IUI = BFP! EDD 9/16/14~ Rowan Elizabeth born sleeping at 17w4d on 4/12/14 due to IC.
    ~There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world~

    Thanks @beckynsean11‌! Makes me wonder if other REs follow same protocol? I hope I reach the point where I graduate to an OB, but at the same time it will be bittersweet because the people are pretty awesome!

    Good luck! As PP have said it's highly unlikely that you'll see see a heartbeat. Perhaps a yolk sac and a fetal pole. If so, it's unlikely that YOU will be able to see them. The tech will say, "Oh look, there's the fetal pole!" and you will look at the black and white splotches on the screen and think, "If you say so!"

    At least, that was my experience. Still is, as a matter of fact. (Dr: "There are the renal arteries" Me-"Really? How the heck can you tell?!") ;-)

    It's been my experience that most other REs do 2 betas & then schedule a scan. I know what you mean. I cried when I graduated from their office. & they've been awesome after the fact too. I had to call for some info in August, I got Marie on the phone & when I told her about my loss she cried on the phone with me. They are just amazing & completely invested in your cycle. If you haven't picked an OB, I have a great rec :)

    @beckynsean11‌ Aww! Yeah, I love them! And thanks for potential rec, but I switched a few years ago when my insurance changed through my employer. I work at a local hospital so I'm encouraged to use the associated medical professionals.
