I read the articles that were posted and it really helped get lo to bed. However, she still wakes around 3 to feed, I burp her, and then she is miss happy-go-lucky!! She smiles, giggles, tosses her legs, and will not calm...what do I do?
Agree with what PPs have said - lights dim, no eye contact or talking. If he gives me a big broad smile when I lay him back in the crib, I do take a moment to smile back, but then walk away and he gets the message, finds his thumb, and goes back to sleep. Do you have a mobile in the crib you could leave as entertainment for her while she dozes back off?
About the naps... I have no idea. She stays with my mil while I am at work. I will turn off the lamp I use then to see if that works. I do use the mobile often, I will continue that. Thank you all for your suggestions!
My LO usually STTN but when she does wake up, she is the same way, I just change her, feed her and lay her down put the pacifier back in, rub her belly and walk out of the room. She usually will talk herself to sleep. As long as she isn't crying, I just let her be.
