Not even considering it. DS is on the bigger end at 32in and 30lbs and he's fine RF. Our seats max RF is 35 lbs, so I'm hoping his weight gain slow down and he can make it to 2. If not, I'll have to look into options then.
Not even close. DS is short and small he will probably last in that thing forever. He will be there until he is 2 and then we will adjust from there. I want to keep him RF as long as possible.
Definitely waiting until at least 2. @crunchymama11 and @jennlin how tall are your older ones? I want to keep DS RF as long as possible but I feel like I'm already running out of room for his legs. Do you just froggy them?
i haven't measured her in a while, and her last dr appt was at 2 yo, and next one for 3yo won't be until feb. my daughter has long legs, too..and she usually just crosses them. legs bunched up/breaking in a crash are better than legs dangling (and going numb) in a FF crash and breaking spines.
she is very close to the top of the shell though (britax boulevard), i might have to flip her before she turns 3..or right around then.
My 2.5 year old is 39 inches (99% plus in height and 35 pounds), and she still fits comfortably in the radian RXT. Her legs froggy--and she has never complained.
DD1 is 41 inches. She's solidly in 5T so the size of the average 5yo. She still fits for a few more inches in the Diono Radian RXT. it goes to 44in. She just crosses her legs. She doesn't complain about it and actually was very uncomfy when we temp turned her FFing on vacay in May. I was afraid she would refuse to RF again but she happily went back RFing.
All of this for us as well. My son turned 4 a few weeks ago and is still happily RF in his RXT. He's 42" and 39 lbs.

No I still Rear face I was planning on it as long as I could also. Someone I know's LO's are now Frwd facing and they are the same age. I just thought it was odd and wanted to get some opinions.
Ya my friend flipped her 7 month old FF & wouldn't listen to anything I told her or any articles I showed her but that doesn't mean it's right. Definitely won't be flipping my car seat til he's at least 2, hopefully longer. He's small so I'm guessing we will be able to go to at least 4.
Re: Forward facing car seats
I should hope not!
DS1 was 2.5 when I turned him FF.

Not law--strong recommendation.

You haven't been around here much, huh?
Nope. Nope. Nope. RF as long as we possibly can.
