Just curious what you think about this and/or what your experience has been. Here's the scenario:
You are transferring to a work-from-home position within the same company that requires a laptop. You have a mac, but the company requires a PC. Should you have to pay for it yourself?

My friend works for same company but she is independent contractor she is expected to get most things on her own but can use office as needed. But we do not like going to office so we often come out of pocket.
I also think it depends on what they are asking for ie. a general PC or specific make/Model, software etc
My company didn't say it out right but they want you to have a smart phone too. When they set up my email I was told make sure I link to my phone. I don't complain because I like the job flexibility and pay but I hate the actual job lol.
