This started technically last week when I got super congested, but I'm just gonna say it started on Saturday.
Went to get my hair done in prep for meeting potential adoptive family; hairdresser was rude and flat-out incompitent. Not only did she cut my hair wrong, but she styled it weird and got mad when I told her it wasn't how I thought it'd be. Not only that, but when she asked me what I was going to do after I placed Jack for adoption, I told her I was going to get my certification in being an ultrasound tech, since they're paid decent money and I'll be able to find work potentially anywhere, she thought an appropriate response was
"So you're giving away your baby to look at other people's babies? Ok."
If murder wasn't illegal, I swear that woman would've been stabbed with her own styling scissors.
For those curious, the meeting with the adoptive family went well. They're wonderful people, and now we're officially matched. Yay~
But afterwards when I got home, I was so physically and mentally drained. I've been having a ton of BH since last Friday (basically any time I'm up n moving for more than 30m-1hr), and the congestion's progressed to chest cold like symptoms.
I don't usually lay back down once I get up, but yesterday and today I had to throw in the towel and lay down for a bit to work the weariness out of these young bones. I'm concefned about being sick like this, especially since my gramps had pneumonia about two months ago, and has never fully recovered from it. Now he's sick again, and I just don't want to've caught whatever it is he had/has.
So, if I don't feel better in an hour n' a half, I'm giving in and calling the doc's office, and seeing what can be done. Between benadryl, robitussin, mucinex & tylenol, I'm kinda out of options.
Donuts for those who made it through all that!
Re: Ugh, can I get a break please?
On the other hand, I'm so glad that your meeting went well and that you've chosen a family!
Hope you feel better soon!!
Hope that you start feeling better soon!
But yeah for a good match with the adoptive family! That must be a huge relief. I hope your cold hurries up and runs its course.
Congrats though on getting matched! That must be a huge relief. Hope you feel better super soon!
Unfortunately, it's a pay beforehand salon, and we usually don't have a problem with thr girls there. I just don't know what the fuck was up with that girl.. Some people, I guess?
I'm not as excited as I feel I should be, but I'm certain that's the tired and sick. Also, I really need to tell the family from Long Island that I found a family in-state. Nothing wrong with the LI people, it's just way too far away, I wouldn't be able to see him as much as opposed to if he were in-state, yeah?
Ughh, not looking forward to this D;
Being pregnant and sick is not fun. I hope you feel better soon.
I'm so happy to hear that you found an adoptive family. That is awesome news! Congratulations!
Yay for a match in state so you can see your LO more often! I will keep the LI couple in my thoughts that they find the right fit soon, too. I am surprised you have to tell them no rather than the agency?
