They swelled up a lot but returned to normal afterward. I can still wear the same shoe size.

  • SS: They didn't grow during my first pregnancy but this time I'd say they are at least a half size bigger.

  • Mine did get a little swollen but I was pregnant in the summer last time. They returned to their normal size... thank goodness!
  • Mine grew from a 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 and never went back. So far, so good this time around though.

  • Mine were already big and wide (10w, which is really hard to find). They're definitely wider now, I think I'll have to get all new shoes after this time. :(

  • I voted for "yes, a lot- I had to get new shoes". They went up about a half-size, and now I mostly have to wear "wide" shoes as well.

So far this time, I seem to be ok. Hopefully they won't grow any more.

  • Mine went up a little bit, but I don't wear any particularly tight-fitting shoes, so most of mine still fit. Mine didn't really swell at all during my first pregnancy, and haven't in this one either. But with that said, HOLY sausage toes, cankles and calves the week after delivery. I couldn't even stuff my feet into the shoes that I wore to the hospital. My DH had to drive home and get a pair of sandals so I had something to wear home. I might buy a pair of crocs or something really lose that provide a bit more coverage than sandals just in case this time, because you know, January is cold!

  • They didn't grow bigger in the fact that I needed new shoes but my shoes did fit more snugly until after the baby was born.

  • Mine grew almost a full shoe size with DS, which was okay because I was pregnant during the summer so I lounged in sandals every single day. But it wasn't until DS was almost 6 months old that I could fit back into all my shoes again.  Thank GOD my feet slowly went back to "normal" size because from what I understand that's not always the case.
  • Mine didn't swell at all, but they did grow a little and haven't gone back.

  • They just swelled. They returned to normal after.

  • Puffy yes, but no permanent change.
  • Lots of swelling with DS - thankfully it was warm weather and I could wear flip flops. The swelling went down, but my arches flattened out. I now have insoles and my shoe size went from 6.5-7.5.
  • Mine have grown all three pregnancies....Probably a half size for each one.  I thought it was a myth until I had kids.  Nope.  I started at a 7 and now am up to an 8.5/9 after three kids.

  • I grew from a 9 to a 9.5 and stayed that size. I really hope they don't grow again this time around. I'm in California, so I'm still in flip flops, so I can't tell if my shoes are too small right now!

  • So many good shoes lost. I grew one size last time, this time I'm slowly getting there and getting wider :-S
  • I hsvent noticed them growing this time but last time I went from a 7-7*1/2 to a 8 and stayed there.
  • i went from wearing usually 8s and once in a while 8.5s to usually 8.5s and once in a while 8s.  i expect to increase about the same this time, since foot-spread from loosened ligaments doesn't usually return all the way.  maybe to sometimes 8.5s and sometimes 9s.  lol

  • Towards the end of my first pregnancy I had to start getting one size up.  Combo of growth+swelling.  Fun times

  • So far this looks like pretty equal distribution - about half and half between grew and didn't grow. Maybe slightly more feet grew than didn't grow, but it's a close one. Interesting!

I voted they went back but they took a year to do so.
  • I voted yes! a lot but that's after 2 or 3 kids ( I have 3 but I don't remember when exactly my feet grew) I am up a full size from before kids.
