Please share your schedule!

I know schedules aren't for everyone, but if you and LO have one, can you please share it? I've been struggling with getting into a good schedule with DS... He's pretty much down to 2 naps instead of 3 and also breastfed and we are starting to do solids for lunch and dinner... I'm having a hard time getting in a rhythm with all of the above :)

Re: Please share your schedule!

  • Between 7-8am wake up and bottle
10 or 10:30 or so nap
    11:30 bottle
    1:30 nap
    3 bottle
    4:30 solid foods
    6 bottle, book, bath, bed
    Asleep by 7

Playtime when not being fed or sleeping. Pretty basic right now. He sticks to it generally. Not always right on the dot as far as time.

  • 6-7 wake up
8:30ish nap, usually 1 hour and change
    Lunch between 11 and 12
Nap around 12:30 for two hours or more
    Dinner at 5:30-6
    Bath and bedtime routine 6:30
    Bed at 7

    Nursing on demand.

  • Our schedule varies from day to day but it's basically..

    Wake up between 5-6am
    Nurse at 6am
    Nap 8-9/9:15
    Nurse after wake up
    Second nap from 12-1/1:15
    Nurse after wake up
*Last nap is from 3-4 but we don't always get this nap in. It's a hit or miss. Sometimes we nurse before this nap.
Bath routine starts around 530 and he's in bed at 6pm

We nurse on demand so sometimes there are more nursing sessions and at various times. Also, solids are a hit or miss, too. We don't have those scheduled yet.
  • 6:30 wake up, nurse
    7/7:30 solids
    9-10-ish nap then nurse
Maybe a small solids snack when the kids eat lunch
    1-2-ish nap then nurse
    4:30/5 nurse
    5:30 solids
    6:15 bath
    6:30 nurse
    Asleep by 7
Nurses 3-4 times after being put down at 7 :(

I'm a fan of the EASY routine, and then add in a meal an hour after nursing.

  • I would give anything for a schedule! One day I have faith that my son with adhere to one, or at least start sleeping and napping in general. The only schedule he maintains is his food schedule: every 2 hours like clockwork day and night.

    ~~Everyone Always Welcome~~

  • I would love a schedule and have tried to implement one but have failed! Plus she's in daycare and they've tried to follow a schedule but C always has something different in mind (aka she would rather not nap at daycare)
  • 8-9 wake up eat
    10-11 nap
    11-12 eat
    1-2 nap
    2-3 eat
    7:30 nAp
    8 eat
    10-10:30 sleep

The 7:30 nap is new, he used to just go to sleep then but this growth spurt has shot everything to hell, we are now working on making bedtime earlier
  • I'm not a schedule type person at all, but I felt like my days once I became a SAHM were so random and disorganized that I put us on a routine and that kind of led to a rough schedule. Somehow a routine seemed less intimidating than a schedule to me, plus I don't feel like everything is all thrown off if a nap is short or super long or something.

I feel like it has helped her napping and bedtime so much, too, now that she knows what to expect from the day. Before this she was taking 30 min naps, now they are usually an hour, sometimes close to two.

  • One a good day it looks like this. Inbetween eating and sleep we play aka I follow him around the house while he crawls like a speedy monster! Sometimes he wakes up at 5:30am if so he gets the morning bottle then. I am a SAHM so I try to run errands after the mornig nap or before the afternoon nap.

    7/730:wake up/bottle
    830: oatmeal & bananas
    845-1030ish: nap
    11: bottle
    1230: eat (solids)
    2:nap
    3:30ish: snack (bottle & puffs)
    5:30: eat (solids)
7:30: bedtime routine begins & bottle
    8: asleep

  • 6 - 6:30ish - wake up and nurse
7 -7:30ish - some combination of bananas and eggs and mum mums for breakfast
    8 - daycare dropoff
    9 - nap
    10 - bottle and cereal
    12 - nap (sometimes)
1 - bottle and fruit puree
3 - nap (closer to 2 if she didn't take the 12:00 nap)
4 - bottle and veggie puree and cereal
    5:30 - daycare pickup
6:30 - she has some of whatever is for dinner
7 - sleep (give or take 30 minutes)
8-9ish - wake up to nurse
12-1ish - wake up to nurse
4-5ish - wake up to nurse

We try to keep more or less the same schedule on the weekends but we don't make ourselves crazy over it. Sometimes her nap spacing varies a bit more on weekends, and I'm likely to give her more finger foods instead of the the cereals and purees.

  • Wake up between 6:30-7 am
    Bottle by 715 am
Solids usually cereal and fruit 830
    Nap 9-1030/11 am
    Bottle 11:15/11:30
Solids fruit and vegetable 1 pm
    Nap 2/3 pm till 4 or 5
    Bottle 5 pm
Play till 7, starting winding down for bed also a bath
Bottle right before bed and hopefully asleep by 8 for the night, hope I didn't jinx myself on the sleeping through the night by writing this ;-)
