3 weeks post partum, and I've been feeling pressure on my lady parts from inside if that makes sense. So I whip out a mirror and later have DH confirm, but where the deep abyss used to be, there is now pink tissue that possibly looks muscular?! It's like the great Wall of China set up residence inside. Wondering how I'm ever supposed to be intimate or use a tampon, I was able to find and follow the abyss, which does a literal C towards my back and then forward again. WTH?!
Anybody else have this? I did have 3rd degree tearing which "shredded" the inside of my vaginal canal. 1st baby was CS, this was VBAC, so first vaginal birth. Have PP OB visit in a few weeks.
Re: Post Partum bulge in vag?????
Wut..
O14 January Signature Challenge: Snow Fails
ETA: Based on the number of families in the world with more than one child, it's a safe bet that things will return to normal, and tampons and other ::ahem:: things will be fine within the abyss.
...so to speak.
I'd probably be waiting outside the door when they open tomorrow...
"Give me a 'c'! Give me a 'u'! Give me an 'n'!..."
What the hell is that, poster?
Please call your doctor.
I have more than one friend who experienced prolapse after birth... one had a relatively severe case and had to stay in bed with her hips elevated for a few weeks. From my understanding, most cases are minor and resolve with no treatment or light PT.
TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
I really do hope it's because she went to the doctor and not because she's scraping her vag off of the sidewalk.
No prolapse, just a lot of loose tissue that should tighten with keegels and time. Has nobody else really had this issue? My OB said it is not uncommon but I had never ever heard about it before, thus the thread.
