Dd has been sleeping through the night for months. Now suddenly we put her to bed & 20 minutes later she is screaming & needs to be rocked back to sleep. She has also been putting herself to sleep for months & wouldn't fall asleep if we held her so being rocked is a "new" habit. She also keep waking up throughout the night-last night it was every 20 minutes. I even had to go get her 2 times because she was so hysterical she was hyperventilating. Anyone else go through this? What did you do & why do they do this?

Also, I like having new people join the board, but not when they decide their first post will be bitching about a sleep regression that's been the story of my life since my boy was 12 weeks old.
Most of you are right-I am "new" & I don't post regularly bc spending time with my family is my priority not this app. Maybe if there were more moms like me doing that you wouldn't be jealous I have a 1 year old that usually sttn! I also had a colicky baby who cried nonstop for 6 months & was on a first name basis with my peds office! I worked hard to sleep train her to sttn & be able to put her to bed awake & allow her to fall asleep on her own-something a 1 yr old should be able to do! Took a long time but now that is what she prefers to being cuddled & held until she is asleep! I was not bitching about having to rock her back to bed-I love cuddling her & it doesn't happen often anymore. It is simply out of character for her to need to be held until she falls asleep & then continuously wake throughout the night. She is an independent toddler who likes playing on the floor & flipping the pages of books herself over being coddled. I simply thought perhaps other ppl went through this recently & would have KIND words of advice what changed or what they did to get back on track.
I am above shaming & making fun of ppls usernames-who cares what their name is-so shame on me for looking for guidance. Since I won't be obsessing over constantly posting here i guess I'll look to actual moms who want the same thing I do-giving actual advice!
Thx ladies! It's been great!
Also, come to CT and visit @JoeLies and I and we can drink all the wine!
