What do you want for Christmas?

We have discussed Christmas gifts for the kiddos but what do YOU want for Christmas??

I am always the last person that I think about for Christmas, but this year I want some new underwear, a few new pairs of pants and some new slippers. I really want a ring with Wesley's birthstone on it but I haven't found anything I like, we are not done having kids so I want to be able to add to it. I know I'm super boring in my want list. So what's on your list???

I want a fitbit too, but won't get one. DH already spent money on a gift for me. He got me pearl and diamond earrings when he was overseas.

I agree with the break. DH and I don't exchange gifts, we are just going to give each other a weekend day free to do whatever we want, alone! I'm excited, the only thing I want to do is read a book, I haven't read since DS was born.

I'm boring. Pajamas, socks, a book, gloves, a new crock pot. Everything I really want is to expensive to ask for as a gift (vacation, new washer) so I just ask for boring stuff that I think is no fun to buy myself.

She's a local-ish soap maker but also makes cleaners, natural room fresheners, Essential oil blends and now she just started with lip balms and lotions. I'm going to try really hard to do most of my Christmas shopping from local shops only this year. I don't know this shop owner personally, just really love everything I've gotten from her so far.

We won't be doing gifts, I'm sure. I'll count the butcher block top I had to have for the island as a gift, he can count the 36" inch induction cooktop he has to have as one. (Note the cooktop is way more than the countertop, maybe I'll buy myself a massage)

I really want a vacay to somewhere warm....

But I'll ask for a fit bit and a new coffee maker from my parents.

DH and I aren't doing gifts- our splurge was wdw in June- we had a hellish year with breaking my foot and Norah's medical stuff among other things and we needed to have fun and get away- it was great but if only we could afford that on a regular basis--- saving for 5 years from now .

Long-sleeve t-shirts from JCrew, online calligraphy lessons (I realized that I want to develop a "just for fun" hobby that I can do at home by myself after L is asleep), Bluetooth Runphones, some stuff from Birchbox.

I've wanted a treadmill for a very long time and ask anyone who will listen to me for it. But everyone thinks it is an inappropriate gift and that it will offend me somehow. But i keep asking.

I want a waffle maker. A new robe. New boots. Earrings, doesn't even have to be fancy. A spa day (facial toes massage)

Everything I want is far, far out of budget. I want my new tattoo, another Tula, a new dishwasher, a new fridge, auto start for my car. So realistically and closer to budget, I want Starbucks cards or a really nice no-handle travel coffee mug. New Chuck Taylors are always a good idea.

I want to do something and a cruise seems easy and relatively cheap. I just have no desire to take the boy on a cruise prior to being potty trained. I don't understand how you tell a toddler they can't go in the pool.

Haha, you can't (re: tell a toddler they can't go in the pool.) They freak the hell out! We went on a cruise when DS1 was 21 months. Terrible idea to take a child under 3. You're just too restricted. We went on a Disney cruise which has the splash pools and is more baby friendly, but it still was difficult.

I never know what to ask for for myself. I would love to do the birthstone stack rings at some point. I would love new clothes non maternity but that doesn't make sense to ask for that this Christmas.

We've had a rough few months (LO and I). I left an abusive relationship, lost our home and many of our things. I'd just love a place to call our own for xmas..this will be the first xmas where the tree won't be our own. Seeing my kiddo smile will be good enough for me

@pinitbaby‌ Sorry you guys have had a rough go. I glad to hear that you are no longer in the relationship if it was abusive. How are your other kids? Hope things turn around soon.

@NeedUtonite Thank you! We moved 4 hours away but LO and I within 10 minutes of my older children now

They went to stay with their dad when things went wrong. Their dad is being very supportive even though we even had our own rough go years ago. Things are turning around for the better already but I wish everything could move a wee bit faster lol I'm learning to take one day at a time

Considering I'm trying to purge my life of worthless crap my in-laws keep giving to me (Thanks, step-mother-in-law, but I definitely do not need a giant Asian partition, 19 Christmas-themed teddy bears, or a terrifyingly ugly quilt made out of old jeans

), I'm considering just asking people to donate to charity in my mother's name if they feel inclined to get me a gift.

Though I have a mile-long list of photography-related things I could use....

DH and I typically don't exchange gifts @cmarie79‌. I only get a gift this year because he bought me expensive pearl/diamond earrings in the middle east. We usually upgrade a piece of furniture in the house and that counts as our gifts to each other for the year. We don't give each other birthday gifts either. But the kids we always do gifts...

@cmarie79‌ , there have been plenty of years MH and I don't do gifts. It kind of depends on the budget any given year. This year were getting C a fair amount, but the 2 years prior she just got books from us. This year the baby will just get a piggy bank. There's not much point when they are too little to "get it", I thought.
