Help a mama out with her sig?

Okay, contrary to my signature, I am not 140 weeks pregnant. I have gone to my bio and the to "edit my avatar and sig" about a dozen times. I paste in my new html code into the 'My forums signature' text entry box, and I click 'save my signature'. What the eff am I doing wrong?! Gah!

    For the love of baby Jesus, THANK YOU. I legit have a doctorate and I analyze website usability for a living. This shouldn't have been so difficult! Pregnancy makes me feel so, so dumb (and so does this website).
