Gas leads to nausea? Nausea leads to gas?

I am have been struggling to maintain how much food I have coming into my stomach all day. If a few hours passes and I haven't eaten, the gas gets worse and leads to nausea and sometimes vomiting. I do have gas all day but it gets even worse when there isn't much in my stomach. Any one experience this and does anyone know why the gas makes you so nauseas? When pregnant women complain of nausea I assume this is the series of sensations that occur or maybe I am experiencing something different?

    Welcome to pregnancy. (congrats!)

    I burp like homer simpson... and when I do, the nausea goes away.

    Also, you're more likely to get responses on pregnancy related symptoms in the symptom thread (there is one posted daily... a lot of people have symptoms!)

    I would guess that they're both related to going too long without food. I wouldn't think gas would cause nausea, but that you're just feeling the gas first. Does that make sense? I mean, I don't have a PhD in fartology, but that's my guess. MORE SNACKS GIRL.
