Cues baby is done?

I feel like I don't always know......sometimes he is just hanging out/falls asleep, but he rarely removes himself.....I always remove him.

OP it seems like you have a lot of questions and are struggling quite a bit. Ive been lurking for a little while as I'm expecting my babies soon and want to refresh my memory on some BFing issues and see you post a lot. You have 6 posts on the first page alone. Have you been to a LLL meeting, seen a LC or been to a mom or BFing support group at all? Look into what's available in your community. I know that there are at least two organizations in my city that have BFing drop in support group meetings. If you can get someone to actually watch your LO nurse they may be able to answer a lot of your questions easier than we can and others will ask questions in a support group that you never realized you had or haven't happened upon yet.

To answer your question, dd would fall asleep and I could tell she was sucking and not drinking and I'd remove her (you can hear swallowing - keh keh keh sounds). I think at 3.5 weeks they don't often "remove themselves".

    Eta: posted too soon
