Bear with a 3am mobile bump here...

I'm on night 6 of dd not sleeping for more than half an hour at a time... She's been up for the last hour, just awake, I finally gave up on trying to get her to sleep and she is happily playing with her toys.
At first I thought it was transition from the week at my folks, then I figured teething, then I blamed the cold she has... Now I don't even care why, I just want it to end!!

Dh took over @ 3:45 night before last, I got a whole 3 hrs uninterrupted. Then he worked and came home tired and grumpy. I'm hoping he'll sleep tonight and I can sleep tomorrow night...

Also, I'm trying to not be annoyed that the new wood furnace makes the house smokey. My nose has been burning just a little bit since dh got it going. With dd's cf smoke is bad! I can't seem to escape the smell tonight which just adds to my tension.

Anyone else having this much fun?

    Ugh! I think it's almost worse when good sleepers turn crappy! Dd has always been easy to get back to sleep, until this spell. I find myself daydreaming of checking into a dark hotel room with a huge comft bes and just sleeping for days in end uninterrupted!
    Dh just cannot grasp that naps and going back to bed after getting up for the day are no where near the same as going to bed and getting to stay there all night!

    Thanks @tarajeanette! Apart from the sick and teething, I do think some of her wake ups are just stirrings. She got used to sleeping in a big bed with me when we were visiting my parents the week before this started(daddy was on a moose hunt so mommy caved on her no cosleeping rule).
    Now she's back in her pack n play and is pissed when she rolls into a wall. I plan to move her into her room with her crib after thanksgiving, we are visiting my family and she'll be in the pnp so I figure if I want to sleep during the holiday might as well not move her yet.
    For now she is in our room and I jump to keep her from keeping daddy up...but after this week, I'm ready to ne done!

    My DD has been sleeping in only 45 min - 2 hr stretches for a few weeks. She won't go back to sleep on her own and wails if I try to put her in the crib when drowsy but awake. I'm not sure if it's a sleep regression or teething or what.

    Hope things get back to normal for you soon!

    I feel your pain!!! This is week #4!

    She's not teething, etc, so I figured sleep regression.

    Last night I had enough of her antics because she was up so often. So I let her cry it out in her crib. Checked on her, of course. 15 min and she was out. And got herself back to sleep within a minute or two each time she woke up the rest of the night. She's a stubborn thing. Mine also gets more upset if I go in to check on her and screams even louder when I leave. Oh, babies...

    I have always had a terrible sleeper but we have been working on trying to get it to improve.  Its kind of a two steps forwards, two steps back situation we have going on - I dont honestly know how much overall progress has been made.  I have found that going in to check on her when I have no intention of nursing her (that is what she wants - to use me as a pacifier all night) makes her angry.  And if DH goes in to check on her she gets even angrier because, well, he is not mommy.  I just dont understand how people seem to do the no cry sleep solutions because it escalates her rather than soothes her to have me there and not doing what she wants.

    I've thrown in the towel in exchange for sanity. She sleeps the second half of the night in bed with us. At least for the next 10 days. Then I'll put up the fight to crib train. ...I think...
    She hasn't been nursed in the night for over 2 months, she usually just wakes up and once cuddled a minute is fine. Now after 2am she will not be soothed! Unless she's in our bed, then she sleeps though... Uugghh
