Hoping for the best

I understand I'm a rather newer user so many of you may not recognize me or have heard of me, but I'm asking for all the prayers possible. Meeting with my midwife today to discuss the results from an ultrasound regarding a heart shaped uterus and I'm kinda freaking out. Hoping it is not an issue, hearing any difficulties in your pregnancy is hard. Keep me in your thoughts please!

My midwife was concerned with a prior ultrasound I had done, so she ordered a follow up and today I will find out for sure. Sorry I should have included that. Thank you

I will find out today if I'm considered high risk. I've peeked my head into the high risk board and lurked there a bit. Is that the board your talking of?

A heart shape uterus can mean a lot of different things, but cannot be diagnosed by a simple ultrasound unfortunately. It could be anything from a full septum, a bicornuate uterus, an arcuate one, or simply a small variation of the norm. I have an arcuate uterus, and carried my son past 41 weeks. You may have to be followed more closely, but do not freak out until you hear more. Best of luck to you! l

it means more than you would think!
I'm unsure of what to expect because I know it varies with how severe it could be. I will hopefully find out today it is not an issue. However if it is hopefully there are no complications as with both of your pregnancies ! All the best to everyone!

You got it. I have to tell you, I have a bicorneate uterus and I've spoken to two RE's, my former OB, my new OB...and no one seems the least bit concerned about it.

Hoping you receive positive news today! My good friend has this condition and while she had two successful pregnancies (and two beautiful babies) she didn't carry either to term and was very closely monitored the whole time. I'm sharing that to say I understand your concern, not to scare you as I'm sure you are already aware of the potential risks!

Thank you everyone so much for all your thoughts and prayers, they must have worked because I've got a "normal" uterus and am considered a low risk pregnancy with a healthy baby growing great!
