Bumpers in the crib

So when is it safe to put the bumpers back in? I haven't asked my pedi yet because she's a psycho about this and says not til a year. But DS has been getting his arms and legs stuck in the slats. And I'm afraid something may happen. Has anyone put theirs back in yet? Or STM when did you do it?

I've had mine in as well, cause LO likes to move so much in his sleep that he ends up head butting the crib.

Mine have been in for a couple weeks now. She always moves away if she gets her face close which rarely happens and she no longer wakes from hitting her head.

I have regular bumpers and have always had them in, but little one didn't start sleeping in his crib until he was 4 mths old and able to roll and his head control was good. He's a maniac in the crib rolling and banging like crazy so I'm glad they're in there now.

We've had mesh ones in since about 2 months, when he started sleeping in his crib at night. We're actually about to remove them because they are a climbing hazard and LO is sitting up on his own and starting to try to pull up as well.

mesh since day 1. DS loves to shove his face into a surface for sleeping, so breathable was a must for us.

Breathable ones here. Put them in when each kid started moving around enough to get a leg stuck.

Used the regular ones for my DD when she was 1 as she was hitting her head hard on the crib and would wake up screaming. She slept in a sleepsack so she never had any issues with her legs going between the crib slats. DS is almost 6 months and we will transition him to his crib soon and see how he does but so far he is a thrasher in the playpen so bumpers may help.

Should add she never used them to climb on and because of the sleepsack she never could get out of her crib. Same as when she moved to a double bed, she stayed in bed, called Momma and wouldnt get out until i came. Sleepsack worked wonders for us!

We've had our bumpers in since day one(she sleeps in our bed X_X )

If she ever goes in the crib I would probably take them out, like PP said, just one more thing to clean and harder to change the sheets when they are on.

We've been using breathable bumpers and have been since we moved her to her crib at 3 months.

DD has been in the crib since day one. She has been a mover in her sleep for a long time. She does end up with limbs sticking out of the crib, but we don't plan to her bumpers of any sort. She gets upset when she bonks her head or gets "stuck", but I can usually just roll her back over and she goes back to sleep (unless it is nap time..oofta..) Sleepsack has helped solve a lot of her getting stuck issues.. Legs don't go through unless they are together

We've used a bumper since day 1. She smashes her feet and head against them all night long, so I'm glad they're there. She's recently started pulling on them so if I see she's pulling herself up, I'll be taking them off.
