I am well over due for my mammogram and have one scheduled during the tww. Would you put off ttc this month?

    I'm not sure. Is it total radiation exposure lije Xrays or only radiation around the breast? Hopefully someone has more experience with them. Is there a mammogram guideline? What about moving it up although I know those have long waits to begin with.

    When I got mine I wasn't TTC at the time but it seemed the radiation was just around my breasts.

    When I had a chest x-ray they put a vest around my abdomen area, maybe they would do the same for you in this situation.

    You may want to ask your OB as well!

    I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

    You can do it during tww- my re sent me for one during my TWW-- the tech was aware of the time in my cycle and said radiation is localized plus you wear lead blanket down below.

    IVF #1 ET 1 d3 embryo 10/30/11 BFP
    3 Embryos frozen (1 d5, 2 d6)

    DS born 07/29/12

    FET #1 ET 1 d5 embryo 02/10/15 BFN

    FET #2 1 d6 embryo didn't survive thaw, transferred last d6. CP :(

    I personally would only do one during my follicular stage.  I'm (over) due too!  Trying to schedule one and time it per my personal feeling.

    July 2014: IUI #1.  Follistim + Pregnyl.  2 follicles--BFN
    September 2014: IUI #2.  Follistim + Pregnyl + Ganirelix + Crinone.  4(?) follicles--BFN
    October 2014: IUI #3.  More Follistim + More Ganirelix + Pregnyl + Crinone.  4 follicles--BFP!  Beta #1=10 Beta #2=33 Beta #3=97 Beta #4=158.  M/C 11/1/14
    December 2014: IVF #1.  Microdose Lupron protocol.  9R, 9M, 9F.  3 5-day blasts transferred 12/15. BFFN.
    April 2015: IVF #2.  Microdose Lupron protocol.  16R, 15M, 12F. Transferred 2 5-day blasts 4/12 and froze 4--BFP!  M/C 5/25/15
    August 2015: IVF #3.  14R, 13M, 11F.  Froze 5 blasts for CCS testing.  3 normals.  FET planned for 10/2015.

    I would wait. My dentist wouldn't do x rays when I was pregnant with #1 and you are wearing a lead vest and the machine is aimed at your face with those. Id be too nervous to do anything at all risky until after you knew for sure if you were pregnant or not.  Are you high risk for breast cancer? If not Id just pass.

    I'm with @rspalding001. I was trying to schedule mine earlier this year and the only close appointment was during my 2WW and she told me to call back after I knew for sure I wasn't.They wouldn't do it if I might be...

    Don't know if that's helpful but that's my experience

    Thanks ladies. Since we haven't DTD this month thus far, it may not even be an issue. @rspalding001 My grandmother had breast cancer when she was 40 so I am at higher risk.
